Hi SYA - sorry to hear about the energy switch faff - why do you think you might not get your money back though? Are they claiming they are unable to read your smart meters or something of that ilk? Although I don’t want to assume that you do have smart meters - a lot of people don’t like them but I do as I’m lazy and it means I don’t have to take readings myself 🤣Lancashire

Thanks SQS 😊 I haven’t parted with any cash. If the switch worked I should have £20 cash-back in 3-6 months. I don’t have a smart meter & this should have been a fixed non-smart meter tariff. I have been told my application is “stuck”. Will just have to wait and see what happens.Of gem website says I should get £30 compensation from the new provider if they fail to switch within 5 working days. Good morning,
sounds like its been a lovely week at yours aside from the energy switch nonsense.
Ideally I guess you want the switch to go through so that you get the compensation and the cashback.
I have switched several times but got caught out with that LAMB ( can't remember what the letters stand for) switching organisation when one of the small companies they'd switched me to failed and I had British Gas foisted upon me and a long-winded argument about who owed what ensued ... I eventually coughed up another £83 after they threatened me with court action and I was so sick of the whole thing I just paid.
Earlier this year I received emails about reclaiming money from the company that failed but I cannot be bothered so I've just written off the whole experience. I'm now with the 8 tentacled purple one and that's where I'll stay as I can change the direct debit payments to suit me, I don't have a smart meter and I never fix tariffs either!
Hope you and doggo enjoy your Sunday.SAVER2 -
Thanks Arrietty 😊 I hope the switch doesn’t end up being a disaster.I only had nieces dog for the day. She picked him up at 9pm on Saturday. DF came down on Sunday and sprayed the weeds in my garden as it was sunny with no wind. Today is cloudy with sunny spells and very hot 🥵 I’ve had to shut all my windows as the farmers are muck spreading 🤢 so I have my fan on instead. I have my washing out on the line, hope it doesn’t smell bad when I bring it in.Popped out this morning to the post office to send a 60th card I bought with birthday pot weeks ago. I didn’t check it was a large letter & cost £2.10 to post 1st class 😲 That will teach me not to buy big cards & post them early enough for second class!0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

It is meant to be cooler so should be a nice day out. Thu we are going to ike@ then Fri morning will be aquafit again. The weeks seem to be flying past.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Have had a fabulous few days with DF & Dsis. DF’s sat nav took us through Sheffield city centre 😳then into the wilderness of the peak district on the way to the NT gardens 😆 We managed to find a more direct route back on main roads!Dsis paid us in £12 each, parking free, DF paid for petrol and I paid for lunch from entertainment pot £24. Gardens were fantastic but lots of steps & walking. Calf muscles have seized up 😂 Thankfully aquafit helped ease them this morning. Might not be able to walk tomorrow 😉
Called at aldee for a bit of shopping £28.22. I walked to my friends house this afternoon for cuppa and cake. Came home and topped & tailed & blanched loads of runner beans from DF’s allotment, which are now in the freezer. Have no plans for the weekend so will relax and read a book.I also put £20 petrol in my car which should last until the end of the month. Current account remaining £103.24. I have booked a hair cut for next week.Next month I am going to visit DS & his gf and the dogs. Looking forward to seeing puppy dog & golden girl. I have £150 in my holiday pot & £40 from grocery fund next month. I have started to arrange to meet up with friends. ☺️0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
