Good work with your paving cleanup, you're nearly there!

I don't think you need to worry about running out of food SYA, it always sounds like you plan ahead and get that freezer stocked! Plus you always manage to really make your shopping work hard for you 😉

Meals sounds beautiful SYA - wish I had a green fingered DF - real fresh produce is always so yummy.

My tomatoes have finally started ripening enough to eat this week and the smell
of them is so good it makes me nostalgic! Store bought tomatoes seem to smell/taste of very little these days.

Also the cucumbers and the shell peas have come good and very tasty indeed especially small cucumbers which are so sweet I can’t bear to buy the big store ones anymore. My OH has done these really hot peppers this year and I refuse to go near them! 🥵

your vegetable no pasta lasagna has me
intrigued - do you use aubergine instead of pasta sheets? I’m sure you told me this already so apologies for my poor memory 😊😊

I also feel ill with a combination of wine, heat and high carb food. Glad you feel better.

    Thanks Time2count, SQS & dia. 😊

I always think about food, especially now that I have no income and a strict budget but I always try to make sure I don’t run out. 😆

SQS your tomatoes, cucumbers and peas sound delish 😋 Think I would give the hot peppers a miss too lol 😝 I use courgettes sliced thinly lengthways in my lasagne.

I am feeling better now thanks dia, hope you are too.

Aquafit this morning & I will pop to mr T on the way back for tandoori spice powder. I mix this with natural yoghurt & will marinate some chicken thighs & then roast with veg (peppers, courgettes, onions, butternut squash).

I have ordered some new thermal lined curtains for my dining room for the winter. Same as the ones I have in the living room from range £57.95 paid from household fund & last of my interest pot. Once they arrive I will order a curtain pole & DF said he will put them up for me. They will be the last I buy this year for the house 🤞no emergencies until my bonds pay out in Feb but I do have instant access to 5k in my 6% instant saver account just in case.

Courgettes!! That’s a good idea SYA - I thought I’d made up all the courgette recipes I could think of 10 years ago when we had a glut of them and we started having to leave them on neighbour door steps etc lol.

Glad you have your EF - always good to have a back up plan xx

Strictly speaking I don’t have an emergency fund SQS 🤦‍♀️ The 5k is actually part of my equity which I will need to live off at some point & will stay in the 6% account for as long as possible. However if I had an emergency I could dip into it until I get my next lot of interest in Feb. Should be around £4k & I am going to put £1000 of that aside for an emergency fund.

Enjoyed aquafit this morning despite the pool being cool. Beef curry in the slow cooker. Had lunch then finished the herringbone blocks at the front of the house 🥳 DF lifted a few blocks & packed more sand underneath to level up a part that had sunk. Then I walked to friends house for cuppa & chat.

My new curtains are supposed to arrive tomorrow but they are not even showing as dispatched. I will check again in the morning & if status is unchanged I will use chat function on the website to see what is going on. I don’t want to wait in all day if they are not coming. I still have trousers to return to mat alan store for a refund & swimsuit to go back to asd@ for refund.

Warm day with a nice breeze. Sun was out this morning but it’s cloudy now.

DF has been down with his ladder & used a spray sealant on the gutter so hopefully that will stop the small drip when it rains. He has gone home to fetch a screwdriver so we can put new seat covers on my dining room chairs.

My parcel is due to arrive between 4pm-6pm. Tomorrow I am going to return the items for refunds and see if I find a dress. I have received one refund from the parcels I sent back to mat Alan & just waiting for the final parcel refund. Friday morning is aquafit again.

Will have a trip to the tip on Monday with the old fence panels & DF has said we will go for breakfast after. 😋

Cloudy this morning but the sun is starting to shine ☀️

Parcel didn’t turn up yesterday 🤬 Even more annoying they sent a message saying they had attempted to deliver! I tracked them right up to 6pm & they were miles away never came near my house. Anyway I have had to arrange redelivery this afternoon.

Fence people were supposed to be here at 5pm to check measurements and they didn’t turn up either 😡 Not sure if they are bringing the panels at 5pm today as arranged. Will get DF to ring them when he comes round later. Shouldn’t feel so anxious about something so stupid.

It's not stupid SYA, it's annoying and frustrating not knowing where you stand. Bad enough waiting in and not getting the delivery but even worse when there's either no communication or the wrong communication.

Hopefully everything has turned up this afternoon for you.

Well done for finishing the driveway, bet it looks smart now 😉
