Did anyone pit a cross in the box that states I have received the Financial Services Compensation Scheme information sheet, it's on the last page where the signature box is.
Didn't receive the information sheet, only a notice about overdrafts with the letter.

I believe it’s already got a cross in from when you accepted it as part of the application online. The form you get in the post is literally just a printout of your online application.

On my first application I never, I had to make a 2nd application and put an X in that box.  If someone at Ulster Bank would put down their knitting needles and actually open account, I will be very happy.

I did, but then I'm a pedant ... pedant Dougal ... somebody who pays attention to detail, unlike you.

I downloaded it during the application.

Yeah, thanks, it is a cross in the box. Just that it's much fainter compared to the rest of the letter.
  • I wouldn’t expect them to actually look at the form beyond checking for name and signature before promptly putting it in the round file.

I’m still waiting for my forms to sign. I applied on the 4th and not had ANY post since (problems in the area), better get a shifty on or I’ll be asking someone to compensate me for the inconvenience.

That's not how Ulster operate, it's a very long and laborious process.

The application is valid for 28 days and they have to receive and process your signed form within this time, according to the letter. So you’re probably going to be cutting it fine

Isn't it. I cannot believe the government used tax-payers cash to save what is clearly a completely inept organisation.

Well it adds a near two week delay before your account is opened and requires you to sign a document and post it back to them.

Personally, I wouldn't regard that as very long or laborious, and certainly it is worth my time for £200.
