Hi, my activation code came via text message the day after they emailed my customer number, so hopefully you should get it soon, the email was sent at 9am yesterday with the customer number and i have the activation code text this morning at 9 (they have a short date for expiry so assuming they send them all out via text if have number (has to be used by 6 march). i have used it and managed to log into my account today, so i now know my sort code and acc number as not displayed on the debt card they issue.
Hi, did you have the account details when register the internet access?
I received my customer number and activation code, but haven't got the account details yet. I tried to register "Anytime Internet Banking" but the process seems to require the account number and sort code. Do I have to wait for these before registration? No, you shouldn't need to register separately because you already have your customer number and activation code. Try logging in with your customer number and using the activation code.

no you should not need to, as for me accessing the account online was how i fund out the details of my sort code and account number on the email with the customer number there was a link that takes you to the ulster main page, from their i selected log in, and you are then asked for the customer number. At that point from first log in attempt it asked for the activation code. as such don't select register, rather select log in, that worked for me. If i recall it asked me for a word i entered during the application process as well.qsk said:

That’s not possible without the account number and sort code, and they won’t mail it to you, the only time you’ll receive anything in the post is when you receive a book of paying in slips and the card reader. You’ll need to phone Ulster Bank for the account number & sort code, which they’ll provide so long as you’re able to answer their security questions.AmityNeon said:qsk said:anna42hmr said:overspender22 said:I’ve had my card through today, and my customer number emailed yesterday. I got a guy with a strong Liverpudlian accent who said the account details would have been on the screen when I applied, but they weren’t & I think he was confused by what you see when you open an RBS account0 -
For my application Ulster wrote to me twice. The first letter was confirmation of my account application and a form to sign and send back. A week later they wrote to me again with my sort code, account number and branch. After that they posted out a book of giro slips and then my card reader.0

that certainly was not my experience with ulster as i did not have my sort code and account number when i went to log in only activation code and customer number. it was from logging into the app that i found out what my sort code and account number was.piker57 said:

Thanks. When I entered my customer number and click "Log in", I got a form asking pin and password, which I don't have:-(anna42hmr said:

If I try "Register", it asks for account number and sort code.0 -
Anna is correct. I had the same issue of being asked account no. and sort code but if you just try to login(not register, where sort code and account no are needed)it allows you to just input customer no and activation code. Then you can view account.Cheers!!!3

Thanks all for the advice.
Finally managed to activate. The issue was that the link in my email is for Ireland (https://www.ulsterbank.ie/) rather than UK (ulsterbank.co.uk). Don't know why it thinks I am in Ireland.

Just a note ... When I spoke to Ulster Bank about my application last week I was advised it might be better for me to contact NatWest as they control applications for accounts for the group (NatWest, RBS, Ulster Bank) ...
... e-mail yourapplication@natwest.com .
I actually phoned and in addition to confirming what Ulster Bank said, answered my question.0 -
That won't be happening for much longer as Ulster Bank are in the process of exiting the Irish market.qsk said:The issue was that the link in my email is for Ireland (https://www.ulsterbank.ie/) rather than UK (ulsterbank.co.uk). Don't know why it thinks I am in Ireland.1
