I've not had a request for my ID etc as yet from Ulster, following my application on 14th, but have had a letter in the post today asking me to sign a copy of the application form and post back to them (or take into a branch) within 28 days of the application.

Someone shed some light on NatWest switching
Started the switch service, got my id checked and got few emails about my switch being successful with my accounts being open but everything else seems really vague , we’re do I get my user name or how to set it up etc
Am I missing something or have I done something wrong??? Or will I get my digit by post ?0 -
ref. ulster. thats about it. next thing you'll get is account info.
Natwest. hold tight, it'll come together over a few days.1 -
In light of all you who have received a bonus from all 3 brands, I plan to switch into Ulster and rbs for both myself and wife. We both had a bonus from NatWest in 2019 so will be interesting to see if it works. Nothing lost if it does not. I will keep you informed of progress.
Cheers!!!0 -
I have had switching bonuses from RBS and NatWest and decided to try Ulster too. I was sent an online verification link as well as documents in the post should I be unable to verify online. I've successfully done so and am awaiting further word. Even if no bonus is forthcoming, the debit card is nice and it's worth punting an old TSB Cash account on.0

This is my first time trying to use one of these offers (for any bank). I currently have a joint account with Santander. I want to switch to NatWest, preferably the free account ("Select" acct).I might be daft but don't understand how to initiate the switch. From their website, I go "Switch here". It takes me further down the page where the legal stuff is and below that there is a section with "All okay? Apply for a bank account online today. " When I hit "continue" there, I only get these options:I don't get it, how do I switch???
- Open a sole Select account
- Open a Joint Select account
- Change my existing NatWest current account to a Select account
- Switch a current account held elsewhere to my existing NatWest current account

Thank you Amity. I mean, that's just... wow. If it weren't for the bonus and that I have a mortgage with them I wouldn't want to work with this bank at all.I'll go ahead and open a new account and then try the "switch"0 -

What makes this worse is that there seems to be a glitch on the NatWest website that keeps sending you round in circles if you tick to open a joint account (the second option). Until they remedy this you won’t be able to close an existing joint account (with another bank) to open a new joint account with NatWest via their switching service! This defeats the object as you MUST use the switching service to qualify for the £200 switching bonus!
If you are happy to open a single account then add the second person then this may be your only option for now…unless NatWest get their fingers out and sort out the glitch!
Hope this helps
