I’m in the same position. Passed the checks and 24hours later received an email saying I have mail which I can’t view as I have zero details from rbs yet. Bizarre how they are so slow. NatWest was much more efficient.notquiteskint said:So i have applied for a rbs account, switch is in progress account number is reserved, but at the moment i cannot sign up for digital/mobile banking as rbs do not recognise my details when i try to register. i also do not have a unique number yet. i have recieved an email saying you have new mail login in to read it, guess i may just wait a bit longer.
anyone else sign up for rbs and had to wait for a unique number to login anywhere?1

The first email I got after my RBS application (titled "You'll be able to use your account soon") included a section on logging in with details of a customer number to use.
I also got the email about a message online that I couldn't initially access, as the new account wasn't showing, but it all sorted itself out after a day or two when the account was added online, allowing access to messages.0

Exactly the same process for me, but for NatWest. All up and running with a couple of days.AlwaysLearnin said:The first email I got after my RBS application (titled "You'll be able to use your account soon") included a section on logging in with details of a customer number to use.

I received an email with my customer number this morning which enabled me to log on and see my account details for the first time... hopefully you all did too? Does not seem anywhere near as slick as the switch to Natwest.0

i tried my luck with an RBS one.
i had all 3 late last year (at the same time) but since then all had been switched away. so i tried RBS as a "test" as a new customer.
i didn't hear that much from them but found the last login details worked and my new account was there instantly (after passing ID).
the final stage of the process, the switch! happened last Friday.
no bonus up to now and not expecting it but as others appear to be getting paid after about 5 days i thought i'd share.1

Is your customer number not in this email near the bottom? Mine was for NatWest in the DDMMYYxxxx format, where xxxx is a unique number and preceded by your date of birth.0
