Is your customer number not in this email near the bottom? Mine was for NatWest in the DDMMYYxxxx format, where xxxx is a unique number and preceded by your date of birth.

I also tried the RBS switch, got no account details but managed to get the info via phone. next problem was verifying the account online as it seems they have the wrong phone number from me even though I got a text during the application process asking me to confirm my identity.
Somehow, they now have my wrong number but I have to wait for a verification code to arrive in the post before I can access my account and change the number. I requested this last Friday and am still waiting for it.
Defiantly not keeping this account after If I get the £200 (if I get it) !
  • The ‘within 7 days’ of doing blah blah blah - does that mean 7 days after the switch completes? Or just after applying to switch, and paying the money in etc
  • So those with existing accounts who submitted the web form – how long before you got some form of confirmation?

When I switched to RBS last years the e-mail entitled Your account's up and running contained my customer number.

If yours doesn't I suggest you give them a call.

easier said than done buddy, all the numbers i have tried so far have ended up with me banging my head against a wall, i done a video call and was speaking to some bird at natwest who had no clue how to help, she said wait till i get my card and go from there.........
