Well look at that.  Not on the web page but hidden in the T&C's where nobody would ever think to look.  How sneaky...

By 24 March 2023 you must do all of the following:
    2. complete a full switch to your new TSB Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account using
    the Current Account Switch Service
    • a full switch means you need to transfer all active credits and debits from your old
account and close it. This must include a minimum of two active Direct Debits
    3. make a minimum of one payment using the debit card on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account
    4. log into the TSB Mobile Banking App at least once
    5. have a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account
As far as I understand it, a DD is regarded as Active if its been paid out within the last 12 (or might be 13 months) and it appears in your list of DDs on the donor account.

So for example if an old mobile bill was being paid by DD but that contract finished a few months ago and you didn't cancel the DD it should still be on your DD list and would still regarded as an active DD for switching purposes.

I don't think the receiving switch bank can tell if its been paid out in the previous month anyway.

Currently used my dummy account for the Santander switch, and I don't want to switch any of my other current accounts at the moment. Does anyone know if either Halifax, Santander or Barlcays do hard checks for opening additional accounts?

I was thinking of opening a ThinkMoney account to then switch out for the co-op offer but given this tsb switch needs DD's to switch it might seem quicker and easier to just open an additional one with my existing banks. Maybe even open an additional Halifax rewards account and just switch my current one that already has some DD's linked to it. I just don't want hard searches as I've already had 3 in Jan.

You should be OK with Halifax. Current thread on this subject

Looking at the 'Top Cashback' criteria, it says -

Cashback cannot be used with - any other offer available with TSB current accounts, unless listed on this page.

Just checking if the TSB incentive is classed as 'an offer available with a TSB current account, not listed on this page? (The Top Cashback page).

Has anyone applied for the TSB Switch / Cashback offer through Top Cashback and been successful in claiming both?
Assume the answer to this is no?

On my PC, the Cashback on Banking Services page of Top Cashback shows TSB with "Up to £40 Cashback" and below that "Get £100 to switch your current acount and stay. £50 to switch to TSB by 13/0...". This is £100 less than from TSB. The page detailing the cashback shows £40 for opening a Plus version and £20 otherwise. There is no mention of any TSB promotion monies on the detail page. The terms of the TCB offer are also different e.g. there is no DD requirement for the a/c being switched.
So, in addition to the £20/£40 cashback, it's not clear whether you'd get £200, £100 or nothing from TSB.
The Quidco offer terms are the same at TCB but with £30 cashback for the basic a/c. No mention is made of getting ANY money from TSB.

Here's an article that seems to suggest that the cashback offers and the switch bonus are separate (but concurrent).

    https://becleverwithyourcash.com/tsb-bank-switch-offer/

The current switch bonus will be paid mid-April and my Quidco entry is showing an estimated payment date of 29 August so it's going to be a while before any of this can be confirmed (and probably forgotten about).

I want to switch to TSB, but my account at present is a Joint Account, will TSB allow this to go through as its a one person account? Wife is ok with it by the way.

No I tried, you have to switch a joint account to a joint account.

Even though I have previously switched joint accounts into single accounts with other banks before
