How do I satisfy the "have a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits" requirement? Would it be ok to make 2 direct debit payments with Skipton BS each month?

The "make at least 5 debit card payments per month" is easy and I will do that via Paypal, also to benefit from the cashback on the account.
    Moneybox, Plum or Onepounddd
So you say I can open Moneybox and Plum and set up a  £5 direct debit for each to come from my TSB account and that way I have fulfilled the requirenment. Later I just withdraw and put it elsewhere. Onepounddd looks sketchy so no thank you.

I think onepounddd was shut dow last October.
I think that was smalldirectdebits? Who weren't 'shut down' as such they 'just' (!) stopped getting support from GoCardless who provide the underlying DD service. But they got it back again later.

But whatever/whichever they are both operating at present. They cost you money, obviously, but very little compared to the switching bonus.

Indeed I just set up a £1 annual DD on smalldirectdebits with this TSB offer in mind, to add to an existing working DD on an account I'll be switching. Had the confirmation emails etc as usual already. It's a good option, and is costing me just £1.

Edited to add: That new £1 annual is merely intended to get me the initial bonus, it's not crystal  clear from the T&C whether the subsequent bonus in September needs monthly DDs, it just implies it, but I can worry about that later.

It was OnepoundDD, just checked email.
Title was Subject: OnePoundDD - Payments Account Shutdown by GoCardless

ok! maybe both suffered the same fate at the same time.  They both used (and certainly one still uses, GoCardless).

    But they're both back again.

This happened to both OnepoundDD and smalldirectdebits (suggesting GoCardless had a ckearout)
Both are now back up and running with new providers.

I signed up to Topcashback. While navigating around the site i clicked on the TSB cashback button, but did not begin the application.
Just wondering if i screwed it up?

Am i correct in saying that the 2 direct debits must be on the doner account before switching?

Quite possibly, it's hard to tell.

Whenever there's a decent TopCashback/Quidco offer that's more than a couple of quid I've taken to opening a new, different browser, clearing down everything (cookies, history etc) then opening one of TC/QCo (never both) and following the links to the offer.

Might just be the online version of turning round 3 times and spitting but seems to work.

    Probably not.

TCB are saying that when you do do the application through them it should be in one series of processes.

Clicking through and not following it up won't affect things, as long as when you do want to proceed you click through and you do actually follow through, if you see what I mean.

But bear in mind TCB, Quidco etc do everything with tracking cookies, so for this TSB cashback it might be best if you had no pre-existing TSB cookies.  Easiest way to achieve that, without clearing cookies (which you may not want to do) is to use a different browser.

Re the direct debit requirements. From what i understand the direct debits must be existing on the doner account when switching?
For the second part - Do the DD just need to remain present on the account or do they actually need to pay out every month between April and September to qualify for the £75 (assuming other criteria fulfilled)

Looking at the 'Top Cashback' criteria, it says -

Cashback cannot be used with - any other offer available with TSB current accounts, unless listed on this page.

Just checking if the TSB incentive is classed as 'an offer available with a TSB current account, not listed on this page? (The Top Cashback page).

Has anyone applied for the TSB Switch / Cashback offer through Top Cashback and been successful in claiming both?

It doesn't read that way to me.  Sounds like you can set them up on the new TSB account, as long as they are active by 24.03.2003
I could be wrong of course, but that's the way I read it.
  • By 24 March 2023 you must do all of the following:
    2. complete a full switch to your new TSB Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account using

    the Current Account Switch Service

    • a full switch means you need to transfer all active credits and debits from your old

account and close it. This must include a minimum of two active Direct Debits

    3. make a minimum of one payment using the debit card on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account

    4. log into the TSB Mobile Banking App at least once

    5. have a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits on your new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account
