I think it’s gone. I seem to remember it vanishing pretty quickly towards the end of the discussion. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Oh ok thanks. I'm sure they'll be more entertaining discussions soon!elsien said:I think it’s gone. I seem to remember it vanishing pretty quickly towards the end of the discussion.1 -
Do you think my friend should start looking elsewhere to rent and keep paying the rent until she goes
she don’t feel at home there anymore

Taking this at face value, although Lord knows why.
Your friend has signed a tenancy for 12 months, I believe?
She has an obligation to pay the rent until the end of the tenancy whether she is living there or not. Unless there is a break clause, or she can agree a mutual surrender of the tenancy with the landlord.New landlords tend to quite like references from the previous landlords. She may wish to consider what any reference would say right now.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

She should definitely keep paying the rent though. Why would she not pay for the place she is living in?2 -
Do you think? It’s just tarnished her enjoyment of living there she has lost interest in the house since this has happened ,Boat_to_Bolivia said:

the landlord presumably still wants to proceed with G11 and G17 so do you think she should stay and pay until courts come and have a look for another house0 -

do you think she should stay and grin and bare it until then? Even though the LL still wants to do G17 and G110 -
She doesn’t really have a choice. She’s committed to paying the rent for the full 12 months unless there is a way for her to agree to end the tenancy with the landlord. If she stops paying they will just chase her through the courts for it and she won’t get her deposit back. But she will get a CCJ which would probably make finding somewhere else even harder. She needs to firstly see if she can find somewhere else to rent who will accept her, and then talk to the landlord about ending the tenancy. Who knows, they might be glad to see the back of her.
Tarnishing your enjoyment tends to happen if you start playing games with other people’s finances. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Do you think she should contact the landlord herself and say as the letting agents are being so cruel to her and not letting her get her side across on anything , they’re just harassing her and making her look awful , they’re not listening to her whatsoeverelsien said:She doesn’t really have a choice. i understand she signed ast and she should stay until it runs out .. and then most probs landlord will serve notice to leave , she hasn’t missed a payment on any rent on any rentals except from the bank fraud , she’s been a good renter except this hiccup ..0 -

Give me a break! I'm no fan of letting agents but your bum's oot the windae.A good tenant? She's only been there since November and both December and January's rent has been late. Whilst your friend could speak to the landlord directly the most sensible thing she could do is keep her head down and keep paying her rent on time.7
