I thought that as well.born_again said:_Penny_Dreadful said:Standingstrong said:
Do you think she should contact the landlord herself and say as the letting agents are being so cruel to her and not letting her get her side across on anything , they’re just harassing her and making her look awful , they’re not listening to her whatsoeverelsien said:She doesn’t really have a choice. She’s committed to paying the rent for the full 12 months unless there is a way for her to agree to end the tenancy with the landlord. If she stops paying they will just chase her through the courts for it and she won’t get her deposit back. But she will get a CCJ which would probably make finding somewhere else even harder. She needs to firstly see if she can find somewhere else to rent who will accept her, and then talk to the landlord about ending the tenancy. Who knows, they might be glad to see the back of her.
Tarnishing your enjoyment tends to happen if you start playing games with other people’s finances.
i understand she signed ast and she should stay until it runs out .. and then most probs landlord will serve notice to leave , she hasn’t missed a payment on any rent on any rentals except from the bank fraud , she’s been a good renter except this hiccup ..Cruel? Give me a break! I'm no fan of letting agents but your bum's oot the windae.A good tenant? She's only been there since November and both December and January's rent has been late. Whilst your friend could speak to the landlord directly the most sensible thing she could do is keep her head down and keep paying her rent on time.
Of course as a good friend the Op could have loaned them 2 months rent, give a frozen bank account 🤷♀️
The OP had a nice windfall - he was ready to pay £20,000 to Cazoo for a car but Cazoo let him have it for £147.2 -
What do you think she should do ,
do she write a letter to landlord address and say she’s sorry and she won’t miss rental payments again and forgive her in such a way? ,
or continue to pay rent until she finds another property and let landlord continue G11 and G17 ?What’s the chances of a judge giving posession for G11 and G17 ? Is the chances high or low
cheers

She's allowed to take a friend in to the court to support and advise her, so if she chooses you, and follows your advice, pretty high I'd guess.Standingstrong said:What’s the chances of a judge giving posession for G11 and G17 ? Is the chances high or low

So the judge will grant posession on g11 and g17propertyrental said:

Is that meaning that she needs to go and rent elsewhere0 -

Very difficult decision. I can understand why you need to ask for advice on this, but I think on balance that continuing to pay rent just might be the best course of action.Standingstrong said:What do you think she should do ,

or continue to pay rent?
