Two cards and a notebook to report. One card is a new baby card, the other is a mother's day one. I thoroughly fell off the wagon and bought more stuff 🤦‍♀️ I will have to use lots or decide to sell some!! I did sort out some heat Embossing powders I wasn't going to use, so I will see if I can sell those.

I also bought some material to make a world book day costume with- it's currently drying on the clothes horse ready to be cut out. I think the costume will get worn lots- a green shirt and skin coloured & tattooed t shirt for underneath (he wants to be a particular pirate dog called barker). The tattoos are made from iron on patches- because I think it will get lots of use, so better than drawing some tattoos on!

  • Interesting technique for the bag @Wraithlady. Did you mount fabrics onto a backing material?
Yes, there's an old sheet used as backing

and forgot to say Wraithlady that perhaps you could line your bag?- the next one- rather than sewing French seams then you wouldn't use so much material? or would that make it too thick / heavy / bulky?

The boro bag was very much a learning experience - if I do another one I will probably do it differently, so it's not a bad idea to line it next time, as I don't think it would make a lot of difference to the bulk.

Think the original aesthetic was for the stitches to show both outside and inside, but I'm not sure it does a lot for me.

I saw something about a flat seam.  I wonder if that would use less fabric but give same result as French seam.  Im going to try it when I'm extending a sheet next time (I think that's what the stitch is for, however I'm sure it would work in other places)
