@plumduff55 I'm a fan of the colour grey (we've painted our bathroom grey & it looks amazing) I think it works really well with the green.
I haven't picked up the crossstitch for a couple of days, but I've left it sitting on my desk to remind me! I've been busy in the evenings with the gym & all my animal chores.
For those that love podcasts, I recommend:
'No Such Thing As A Fish' - run by the QI 'elves'. Full of fun & funny facts.
'Sword & Scale' - Crime podcast. I'm not a fan of the presenter, hes very opinionated and a little full of himself, but the crime stories themselves are very good and told well.
'Beef and Dairy Network Podcast' - Sureal nonsense that's just fun to listen too.
'Three Bean Salad' - Chatting podcast from the 'actors' of Beef & Dairy, hilarious nonsense talk about all and everything.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Well I nearly cried today
I went out with my son to move a tonne bag of gravel that got delivered at 8am!
I was outside all of about half hour with the 3 dogs in the living room since I had gates open etc.
Came back in to find my cross stitch strewn across the floor and the corner of the pattern nibbled off!
Thankfully actual pattern, and actual cross stitch are all intact and no one ate the needle which was on a magnet needle catcher.
Anyway want a dog? I have 3 to rehome!
Lesson learnt - do not leave items in reach of pooches.
Needless to say I sat and did two more colours last night so I now nearly have 2 birds - I will post a picture soon but I have a goal of February 20th since my mother in laws birthday is February 26th and I want time just in case to find a frame, frame it and wrap it! But Im hoping Ill find a frame before then and have it ready
Time to find me again4 -
@sammy_kaye18 thank goodness you could salvage pattern after all of tbat work. Naughty pooches. No treats for them today. Cant wait for the pics. It sounds like its moving fast now.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@sammy_kaye18 My pup once broke into the animal room while I was at work. I just happened to check the cameras and saw him throwing around one of my tarantula enclosures!
He bit it & stomped on it until it broke open. I raced home (luckily I'm just across the road) and found the tarantula missing, so he hadn't killed it at least. A frantic 20 minute search and I found it cowering in a cupboard.
Luckily the dog escaped without a bite, and the T escaped with it's life.

Well done @Katiehound you are racing along. This bug we have managed to catch is exhausting. I have been wanting to do some crafting but have not had the energy. Anyway i have got back to finishing tabard jumper. If energy returns it should only take a few days.
Hope everyone is keeping well and motivated.
At this rate i will still be making next years christmas cards in March. 🎅🤪craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@x_raphael_xx as an arachnophobe I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that story. Tarantulas are astonishingly beautiful creatures and I want to love them but the primal part of my brain just can't
Definitely didn't buy more fountain pen inks the other day. Nope.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January7 -
Sammykay, can I ask please what you use to make stickers? I'm assuming its a machine of some sort?
Also, does anyone use these cricut machines or similar? Or similar. I'm not really certain what they are or how they work but I found this in my stuff and altho its got absolutely nothing on it to tell you what to do with it I think it must be used in conjunction with something like a cricut? Cheers peeps

sammykaye and raphael - wow, couple of scary doggy stories there, glad all ended well in each story for all 4 dogs and spidey.
Spidey got a right shoogling around poor wee thing, his head would definitely be buzzing after all that. It appears lucky doggie couldn't get back out into the rest of the house? It looked as if he trotted towards the door, head high and jaunty with his prize box in his mouth. That would have been a much bigger search area!
Give all the dogs a cuddle from me please and a tentative wave to 🕷
