  • So when I very first joined the thread my personal debt was 8090. It's been up and down like a yo yo and our joint debt I've no idea as DH keeps spending on his card for which I don't know the balance but my personal debt is currently 7095.  Hoping I can somehow keep food costs tighter this month to break 7k.
    Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Well done NeverendingDMP - that is great progress on your personal debt.
Maybe so it is not so overwhelming just focus on your personal debt - can you talk to DH about his spending and try and get him on board with cutting back too?

    Good luck x

  • Morning :)

I have had a surprise pay day for the job I only started on Friday so I have managed to start September as I mean to go on :)

Added into the OP savings account today

    £103.28 new cafe wages
    £ 90.00 chippy wages

    This make our current total £24939.65 / £81700 = 30.52%

Only another half a percent to go to reach 31% - I'm heading in the right direction :)

  • Morning all,

Etsy payday yesterday and although it has been so quiet for sales on that platform I did earn £67.07 in August so this has been added to the OP savings pot :)

    Our current total now stands at £25006.72 / £81700 = 30.60%

We are past the £25k stage saved for BTL 2 :) Add that to the £38K we have already saved ready to pay off BTL1 and I'm feeling pretty proud of ourselves :) Cannot wait to hit the 50% mark for this BTL2 mortgage :)
