That's something organised people who menu plan do. Unlike those of us who just pull stuff out of the freezer when we're starving and hope it's edible...doingitanyway said:Freezer inventory?!
I hope Mr SA and you are both OK after his 'adventure'.3 -
Oh no, do you think it was maybe due to it getting dark and he couldn't see properly? What was he doing in the garden at this time of day in the half dark and wet weather?Sun_Addict said:Mr SA has just had a fall in the garden right by the pond. He was in danger of falling in but I managed to pull him a bit further away. He's managed to get up with the aid of a stool and a cushion thankfully. He seems to be ok apart from being covered in mud. More washing! As if he doesn't generate enough.Making the debt go down and savings go up

He was feeding the fish and the squirrels! He’s obsessed with feeding the squirrels, our garden is full of them running around everywhere, they’ve taken over from the wood pigeons. It’s quite funny because the young cat is really wary of them, she doesn’t know what to make of them 😆I had no idea he was out there, I was working. Fortunately he had his phone with him to call me. He’s got 3 walking frames in the garden, no idea why he didn’t use one of them. He’s ok tonight but I expect he’ll be sore tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I'm glad it all worked out as more drama than crisis but not nice for either of you. It's encouraging that he had his phone, thought to call you and was able to use his own strength to get up.
I don't know if there's any science to this but I've observed that we integrate so many of our actions deeply into our subconscious and when we lose them and have to think about what we are doing (like me when I broke my arm), the subconscious doesn't recognise there's anything different and initiates the action as it always did. I think that's one of the reasons that acquired disability can be exhausting - the conscious mind is burning up calories trying to think through things it hasn't had to deal with since infancy. So perhaps that's why Mr SA didn't use his frame - he was preoccupied with squirrels so he forgot?
Anyway, I'm glad he's okay and so are you.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy hump day.
WFH today thank goodness.
It's a lovely sunny start to the day but very cold and very frosty.
Mr M delivery arrived at 6.30 so that's all been packed away. Another fairly small order as we don't need much at the moment and I get a fair bit from Lid!.
Mid-week finance check done and cc balance paid off. Unfortunately no little oddments arising to send to the Christmas pot today.
Today's exercise is live yoga (done), dog walking later this morning, day 14 of the 10 minutes yoga challenge, a short strength training session (doing Tank Top Arms from FitOn 3 times a week) and live Zumba at 6pm.
Tonight's dinner is a new recipe spiced tomato & aubergine stew.
Cleaning tasks are the kitchen and bathroom. I usually take an extended lunch break on Wednesdays to give them a good clean when Mr SA is having his siesta. However DD is off work today so might have to be scheduled around her being constantly in and out of them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
