Happy Saturday 🥂
It’s been a beautiful day today, very cold but sunny with cloudless blue skies. These sorts of winter days I can cope with.Only went to the local shops this morning. We took the dog so she got a walk out of it. Also dropped off a bag of donations at the charity shop. After lunch we took the dog on the park so she’s had two good walks today. Mr SA went to bed when we got back and the dog is also fast asleep.I took down the fairy lights from the driveway fence as it was one of those jobs Mr SA was supposed to be doing but didn’t.No visit from DS and the GKs as it’s very icy where they live. They are 25 miles away from us in the very far north of the county and have lots of country roads to navigate on the way. So the loft dealings are on hold until next week.I ordered a dressing table stool from Am@zon that arrived 15 minutes ago and I’ve just put that together. I’ve been after a new one for ages as Mr SA broke the legs off my old one. I’d been using Mr SA’s bath aid stool in the meantime which wasn’t ideal. I couldn’t find anything suitable then this one popped up on a list of suggestions and it’s exactly what I wanted. It pays to wait sometimes. It’s got a metal base, padded seat, adjustable height and seems very sturdy.I’m going to do my weights session followed by day 10 yoga next then have a soak in the bath.Tonight’s dinner is spicy bean burger with sweet potato wedges and salad. Rose Prosecco chilling in the fridge ready for The Masked Singer later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

That’s the weekend almost done 😭
The weather has been awful today after the beautiful day yesterday. Dark, gloomy and raining. We managed to get the dog out for a walk on the park earlier though.I’ve decluttered the cupboard of doom in the dining room and a few things have gone in the charity bag. It looks so much better now. Had to stop Mr SA bringing a box of man bags and a huge toiletry bag downstairs that he wanted to keep in the living room - why 🤷♀️ All he’s done today is sort through his man bags and sleep!Made a batch of spiced carrot soup for work lunches. Also made a meal plan for next week using up freezer/cupboard stocks and weaving in a couple of new recipes to try.Tonight’s dinner is vegan Singapore noodles. Lots of leftover Prosecco for tonight 🥂
Exercise has been dog walking, a walking workout from YT and the yoga challenge day 11.Must remember to write DD’s birthday card out as it’s her birthday tomorrow. She just wants an Am@zon gift voucher as a present so that’s easy enough.Mr SA has a GP appointment tomorrow about the cholesterol test results so I plan to go into the office for a couple of hours then meet him at the doctors. If he goes on his own he gets mixed up about what they’ve said so I need to be there. It’s a good job I checked his NHS app as he was insisting it was a phone consultation - it’s face to face as I thought. I can WFH afterwards. I could WFH all day but it would mean swapping for another day and I don’t really want to do that.Money wise today has been a NSD.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Genuinely curious as to why Mr SA wants manbags and huge toiletry bag in the living room!
Hope the appt goes well tomorrow.
Happy birthday to DD for tomorrow 🥂
How's she feeling about the autism/ADHD diagnosis?0 -
He’s been a bit random today so who knows. He had 3 man bags dangling from the living room door handle so I made him choose one and put the others in his wardrobe. He also brought a pair of sliders downstairs - it’s January 🥶PennysIntoPounds said:Genuinely curious as to why Mr SA wants manbags and huge toiletry bag in the living room!

How's she feeling about the autism/ADHD diagnosis?I think DD is relieved to get the diagnosis but hoping the meds come through soon. She’s all over the place mood wise so I’m hoping they do too. They’ve made a huge difference to DGS’s behaviour at school and he’s no longer spoiling for fights.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
