Happy birthday to your daughter for tomorrow! And I hope Mr SA's appointment goes well and you get to ask the questions you need to - and that they can communicate it to him.
Satisfaction from a successfully decluttered cupboard sounds okay as a trade off for a gloomy day. It's been miserable here too but I don't think I've as much to show for it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office this morning until 10 then left to meet Mr SA at the doctors.
Mr SA arrived late for his appointment despite me telling him to be there for 10.45. I was there before him. Anyway we saw the doctor and she confirmed his cholesterol is slightly high but can't start him on medication because his liver results are abnormal. She said the liver results are because of all the chemo he had. So now he has to have a liver scan, but they can do this at the doctors. She needs to review the results of the scan before being able to issue meds for the cholesterol. However because his cholesterol isn't that high he could make a few changes to his diet and not take any meds. I try to make his meals as healthy as I can but he's a very fussy eater and he only eats a limited amount of things. As I've mentioned before his idea of 'something light' is missing off the veg from his pie and chips!
So that's the dog and Mr SA on diets.
Usual Monday finance check done and cc balance paid off. Not a NSD as bought a gift voucher for DD's birthday this morning.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work, day 12 of the yoga challenge and live strength training at 7.15.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of veggie lasagne from freezer stocks with salad.

I refused statins for high cholestrol, and told Dr I would change my diet & do more exercise. Also take plant sterols, as they are a natural way to lower it. Might be worth Mr SA trying them. Its genetic in my case, but still hope to get the levels down.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Thanks for mentioning plant sterols, it's worth him giving them a try. Two of my friends were diagnosed with high cholesterol despite eating healthily on the whole. They made a few tweaks to their diets/exercise and managed to get the levels down to acceptable.Makingabobor2 said:I refused statins for high cholestrol, and told Dr I would change my diet & do more exercise. There are a few plants that help reduce cholesterol levels - it's worth doing some research. This and exercise help, but may not be enough for some people.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Afternoon all.
What a miserable soggy day it is here today. It was dry on the way to work but I got absolutely drenched on the walk home. Mr SA was supposed to be meeting me at Lid! to help with the shopping bags but it wasn't fit for him to come out on his scooter.
I've now qualified for the free veg item and see that the big bags of potatoes are still included so will pick one up on Friday.
Free Ner0 coffee picked up this morning.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work, day 13 of the yoga challenge later followed by a live resistance bands class at 6.15.
Tonight's dinner was going to be the last portion of sweet potato & peanut stew from freezer stocks but as I couldn't find it I guess I've already used that up. Note to self - keep freezer inventory up to date 😆 So instead I've moved Friday's planned meal of lightly dusted yellowfin sole with sweet potato wedges and steamed veg to tonight.

Freezer inventory?!If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Mr SA has just had a fall in the garden right by the pond. He was in danger of falling in but I managed to pull him a bit further away. He's managed to get up with the aid of a stool and a cushion thankfully. He seems to be ok apart from being covered in mud. More washing! As if he doesn't generate enough.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
