Sounds like you are going down with lurgy. I'm on day 3 of everything aching, weak legs if I move too much & snuffles & so tired. Roll on Spring

I've just managed to open a Principality Christmas 2026 Saver. I didn't think it would let me with the 2025 one not maturing until 1 January. So that's that sorted for another year.
I understand this is because they are different issues so you can hold one of each.

    Thank you @Baileys_Babe @Sun_Addict
My Principality saver doesn't mature until 1 Jan but I managed to open and fund the 2026 one so that's another job ticked off the list. Thanks to @Sun_Addict I've been doing this and the YBS ones for a couple of years, not particularly for Christmas but it's great to stash some money away and get decent interest rates particularly when the general savings interest is going down.

That will be why they let me open two 6 months savers, I did wonder if it was right, I didn't twig that they were different issues.

Ugh it's been quiet at work today apart from a bit of a flurry first thing.

My monthly personal spends pot resets tomorrow when I get paid so I've closed it off. There was £59.79 left so £9.79 has gone to the Christmas 2026 pot and £50 back to my master personal spends pot.

I've moved £68.80 from the stock up shop pot to boost the food/alcohol budgets as these reset on Monday and are looking a bit spartan after plenty of stocking up this month. Anything left will go back to the stock up shop pot. Hoping for a low spend in both budget categories in January.

I've separated the food/alcohol budgets from Mr SA's spends, house/garden spends and entertainment spends so anything left in food/alcohol goes into the stock up pot and the other three pots back to their respective master pots.
That sounds so confusing but I know what I mean 🤣

I took an hour out at lunchtime and tested out the Sh@rk stain striker on the hall carpet where a couple of mysterious brown stains had appeared and it's done a good job. I did the stairs while I had some cleaning solution left and they look a lot better. I have the bigger Sh@rk carpet cleaner which is great but it's cumbersome to use on stairs so the smaller one will be much better in that respect.

Tonight's dinner is spiced butternut squash stew with herb dumplings, another old favourite of mine. Have already prepped the dumplings made from SR flour, plain yogurt, herbs and grated cheese.

It's been another NSD, the final one of the year as I've got a Mr M delivery coming tomorrow at 5.30am.

Cold wise I don't feel too bad at the moment so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it won't develop any further.
