We are only closed bank holidays 🙁 The area I work in is subject to a lot of media requests for information so someone needs to be there to monitor inboxes and deal with them asap as we are usually given a very short turnaround time often less than a couple of hours. So I understand why one of us needs to be there.Sunshine_girl2 said:I will be with you next week SA holding the fort but WFH as the office is closed and no one really understands why our team has to work 🤷🏻♀️.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Just seen this on social media. I think this is particularly apt for me and probably for others on here:

Morning all.I’m determined to be more productive today. I feel better when I am.For starters the dog needs to go on the park shortly. I need to make a batch of soup for work lunches and make a meal plan, might do one for the whole of January based on what’s in the freezer/cupboards. Also need to have a good tidy up.Best get cracking…I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thankfully I’ve been more productive today and feel so much better for it.I’ve made a list of meals that can be made using freezer/cupboard stocks. I’ve more or less got the whole of January covered. I want to make more space in the freezers and also have a low grocery spend month.Last month I bought myself a 52 week journal to start using in the new year. I’m determined to get further than the couple of days I usually manage. It’s a lovely journal, almost too nice to spoil by writing in it 😆 It’s called Breathe special journal 52 week planner and was £10.99 from Waitr0se.I’ve had a good tidy up and vacuumed round.I made a batch of curried cauliflower soup for work lunches which used up the last bit of cauliflower. Tonight’s dinner is a slice of vegan nut roast leftover from Christmas Day with creamed cabbage and leeks (PON recipe which handily uses up the tiny bit of cream cheese I have left) with sprouts and roast parsnips. My step count was a lot lower than I expected so I’ve just done a Rick 5000 steps workout. I forgot to charge my watch last night so it’s been on charge and not counting my steps.Going to have a relaxing bath now with a face mask and candles. Might take a glass of leftover Prosecco with me.Trying very hard not to think about getting up at 4.30 and going out in the cold and dark tomorrow morning ☹️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I'm going to start journelling next year as well. Started several times before & gave up as was always too tired at night. Going to try mornings instead. Intend to update my MSE diary as well and make a much better plan for next year.
Enjoy your bath & prosecco. I have prosecco left but not feeling too good, bit fluey, so not sure if prosecco is a good idea.Making the debt go down and savings go up
