    Another cheerleader for you SA.  I think the way you have coped with the life change and constant demands from Mr SA is incredible.  I get though that you have little option other than to get on with it.

    Yes, book the day off work and have a day in town to yourself.

    If I was in your position I might consider going to work at the usual time and working for an hour or 2, so Mr SA is not suspicious and trying to muscle in to your town adventure or constantly pestering you on the phone or coming to meet you (check up on you).

    If I was in your position I might consider going to work at the usual time and working for an hour or 2, so Mr SA is not suspicious and trying to muscle in to your town adventure or constantly pestering you on the phone or coming to meet you (check up on you).
    I’m planning for it to be a day I usually work in the office and leave at the same time so he doesn’t twig. I can go for a coffee and wait for the shops to open. I’ll be back just after lunchtime and will say I’ve finished early. I don’t want to take my laptop with me so I couldn’t go into work first. 
    I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
