I have to buy quite expensive shoes. The last three pairs have been bought on V for a fraction of the price. One of my friends had suggested V. Although I buy clothes from V , I had never thought about shoes. As I know the make & sizing of the shoes I wear I was able to get them. So blooming chuffed. I’ve never bought anything from Vinted but look from time to time. Not got the particular Skechers I’m after at the moment.Cherryfudge said:It's worth checking Vinted for Skechers, they have loads.
I'm going to try the masala spiced beans, it looked too good not to.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
That’s another working week done.Worked in the office and finished early. It was quite busy in the office for a Friday and there was a bit of a Friday buzz with people laughing and chatting so it was very pleasant.I was freezing walking to work and realised I needed a longer length coat to cover my legs. Very pleased to find exactly what I needed in Sp0rts Direct for £34.99. It was the first coat I tried on and was perfect so no faffing about I bought it. It’s a Slazenger and had 70% off. Colour is bright purple.Mr SA met me at Lid! where I picked up a few things.Today’s exercise has been walking to/from work.Tonight’s dinner was a stir fry which used up lots of odds and ends of veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

What a brilliant bargain of a coat! Good colour, too. I like to see cheerful coats and umbrellas in winter.

The new coat was truly tested going out in the cold and rain today. Happy to discover it also has built in hand warmers. We went to the big Mr T, it was drizzling most of the time but the rain ramped up on the way back.No visit from DS and the GKs as DGD has a tummy bug. After lunch Mr SA went for his siesta so I decided to put my feet up with the dog and watch a Christmas film. I’ve never seen The Holiday but heard good reviews, so now I’ve seen it and I enjoyed it.Tonight’s dinner is veggie kofta with salad and sweet potato wedges.Prosecco in the fridge chilling for Strictly later🥂💃I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Mine isn’t very bulky as I need to be able to get my work rucksack on my back. I’ve got a lovely warm aviator type coat but it’s too thick for a rucksack.amber03 said:I bought a long puff a coat in the sales a few years back from Go @utdooors, feel like the Michelin man in it but Im nice and toasty.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Morning all, happy Sunday.Up early as usual and have finished my current book. I’m meeting the friend I swap books with on Tuesday so will add this to the pile. I’ve got a few Christmas themed books to read now.I plan to get out the Christmas decorations boxes today and look for the Christmas mugs and glasses. It’s great to think these can go in the loft afterwards instead of in the cupboard of doom.Today’s exercise is dog walking later, a 15 minutes aerobic cardio session, a 7 minute stretch and sculpt and another Rick Christmas workout.I’m making a batch of roasted and curried cauliflower soup later for work lunches. This is a new recipe I saved from a FB account I follow called Fed in the Shed and other stories. I need to decide what tonight’s dinner is as the recipe I’d planned to make I don’t have all the ingredients for, which I’m annoyed with myself about as I went shopping yesterday. I’ve plenty of stuff in stock to use up so will come up with something else.I’ve got a busy week ahead, the only normal day will be tomorrow. Tuesday I’m finishing work early to meet the book swap friend. Wednesday I’ve got the dentist in the morning and hairdresser in the afternoon. Thursday I’m in the office but finishing early to have my nails done. Then I’m off on Friday to go on a train trip to meet friends. Phew!I ordered some waterproof snow type boots yesterday as I don’t have any and will need them for wet weather and icy pavements. I’ve got purple ones to match my coat 🙂 The pavements leading to the office are lethal when they freeze. I got a good deal with an extra £5 off and free delivery from Sh0ez0ne. I only ordered them yesterday afternoon and they’re already with Evri.
Mr SA is moaning about me getting the new things when he isn’t but will remind him in the morning when I’m trekking out in the cold and dark while he’s still nice and toasty in bed. He will also no doubt be getting some new clothes when we go into town for his eye test.DD has gone to work so I’ll be able to get the kitchen and bathroom cleaned while she’s not constantly in and out.Today should be a NSD.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
