That’s another weekend almost done ☹️

Took the dog on the park this morning for the first time in a few days. She had a little wander round then climbed back on Mr SA’s scooter. There were quite a few dogs on there and it makes her nervous at the best of times.

Money wise it’s been a NSD finally after a few spendy days.

Had a good cleaning and tidying session in the kitchen and dining room. Finally swept up the leaves on the patio now the Acer is bare. The other tree has shed its leaves and is now covered in pink blossom so the falling leaves have been replaced by falling petals. This tree never rests!

Made a batch of butternut squash, chickpea and lime soup for work lunches. Two days worth of overnight oats with berries have been prepped for breakfasts.

Tonight’s dinner is a new recipe One Pan Tomato & Gnocchi Bake from the Deliciously Ella app. I’ve had a pack of gnocchi in the cupboard for ages so a good opportunity to get it used.

Just popped up on my FB memories, it’s 4 years today since we got the young cat. Can’t believe it’s been that long!

Goodness, I remember that! The now-grown-up cat, perhaps?

    The soup recipe sounds nice.

This is the soup recipe: chunky squash, chickpea & lime. I blend it rather than leave it chunky then add the chickpeas afterwards. It's one I make quite a lot as it's absolutely delicious.

The gnocchi recipe was also delicious: one pan tomato & gnocchi bake

    Afternoon all

Worked in the office until lunchtime, finishing up at home.

Mr SA was stressing me out constantly calling me to say the dog wouldn't come downstairs this morning. I told him I couldn't come home as I was in more or less back to back meetings until lunchtime. He did eventually manage to coax her downstairs thankfully. She's still a bit wobbly coming downstairs and I really should've brought her down with me before I left for work. Mental note to remember this tomorrow.

Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and now qualify for the free veg item. I'm just about ready for another sack of potatoes so that will be my choice again.

I've cancelled tomorrow's veg box delivery as I've still got loads of veg to work my way through and I really don't want yet another savoy cabbage to add to the two I've already got.

Monday finance check done and cc balance paid off. An oddment of £5.52 has gone to the Christmas 2026 pot. Free coffee picked up this morning.

Today's exercise so far has been walking to/from work 16,679 steps including 2 sets of 12 flights of stairs. Tonight I'll be doing aerobics at 6pm and strength training at 7.15.

Tonight's dinner is a portion of the gnocchi bake I made yesterday.

I think they may have ended the potato sacks as a free thing.
