Glad the dog is in the clear.
And that the scooter is being checked.
Less so that you had to push it and that Mr SA is being an eejit.
Is there any scope in the retirement plans for moving somewhere you could both have a separate bedroom and bathroom?2 -
Scooter lights do put an extra drain on the battery as do hills and weight. I notice mine is slower when I add a load of shopping. If you run the lights your range is drastically cut. The problem is batteries are heavy and to put higher capacity ones in scooters would cut the range and the weight they can cope with. It is always going to be a compromise and as scooters are mainly used in the daytime the range and the weight they can carry is always going to be the priority.4

Morning all, happy Friday.
Thank you @ladyholly. That makes sense as to what happened on Tuesday. We will see why it happened again yesterday when the shop brings his scooter back. I still think the damp isn't helping matters, Mr SA rarely covers up his scooter when not in use even though he's been told to by the shop.
I made the decision to WFH today as storm Claudia has well and truly hit us here. I only went to the bin and got soaked and to make it worse it's really windy. Even if I caught the bus I'd still get soaked as it's a fair walk to/from the bus stop and I really don't fancy sitting in wet clothes all day again.
Today's exercise will be an indoor walk, a 7 mins full body tone and a yoga session - all from YT. Steps goal today is 10,000. I doubt we'll get out with the dog because of the weather. It's a day for staying safe, warm and dry indoors I think.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of lightly dusted fish from freezer stocks with sweet potato wedges and veg.
The planned Lid! shop for today has been moved to tomorrow. There's nothing we need for today.
As I didn't have to rush to get ready this morning I've had my nice relaxing start to the day.
The good food app is back up an running thank goodness. It looks like they've updated the app as a new button appeared saying restore your subscription. That wasn't there before so a few people must've contacted them.

In money news I've cleared the balance on the cc again and sent an oddment of £1.64 to the Christmas 2026 pot. I'm setting myself a goal of sending £50 a month to this pot to keep it on track. DD paid her board so that's gone straight to the holiday pot.
Not a NSD as I've bought my Christmas present from Mr SA, the No7 Pro Artist beauty vault set. I was hanging my nose over this when it was on offer last year, I dithered that much over it it had sold out by the time I'd made my mind up. I'll probably end up wrapping it up myself too 🤣It's a shame no one else in the family is as easy as me to buy for.
It's been super quiet at work today so has been a good day to catch up with the bits and bobs that keep sinking to the bottom of my to do list. I usually finish early on Fridays but there's no point as I can't have my usual wander round the city centre.
The dog is recovering really well, she's looking so much brighter and is eating a few bits. The little devil keeps cocking her nose up at dog food but is very keen to eat treats! It's lovely to see her tail back up in the air instead of between her legs.
I've managed to do two Get Fit with Rick walking workouts during the day so only need to do another 3000 steps to hit target.
DS and family are going away for a few days today to a lodge with a hot tub. Hopefully the weather picks up for them. There have been several flood alerts in the local area and trees down so I hope this won't affect them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Forgot to say I’ve downloaded a free meditation app called Medito. It looks great, loads of content, I’ve done a 5 minute meditation in Spanish that I mostly understood. I’m trying to get more into meditation so will see how it goes.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Bad here too. My garden furntiure cover has come off twice. The rabbits use it as shelter so had to put them in their hutch tonight. (They do have two hutches, but they prefer this garden cover and would rather get wet and blown away than sit in a warm hutch).
I would rather them be safe and dry and enclosed though than facing this weather. Glad DS made it ok. Hope he has a lovely time.

Morning all.Still miserable here but need to go to the shops today. I think the dog is ready to go out again too now she’s steadier on her feet.I’ve got the JL Christmas tree decorating workshop this afternoon. Mr SA isn’t happy about me going to the city centre without him. I’ll only be gone an hour or so! I’m going and looking forward to it however much he moans. The dog still won’t touch dog food but ate some tuna last night. She’s hungry because she’s going to her dish but sniffing it and walking away.Today’s exercise will be walking to/from the big Mr T. I might get the bus to the city centre later if the weather isn’t great.Tonight is pizza Prosecco and Strictly night 🥂💃I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
