I’ve just caught up again. The wedding looked and sounded very special. Glad it went well.
What a pain that the scooter keeps losing power. Hope it gets sorted as you can do without pushing it up hills 😯
I thought having some long life milk in on standby was a great idea (not sure who suggested it) and if they don’t tell you or get some themselves that’s what they need to drink until you go shopping again…..
Your days out sound lovely- enjoy as many as you can 👍January spends - £587.582 -
The scooter shop said the battery lost power because Mr SA had the lights on despite it not being dark. Apparently the lights drain the battery faster and that coupled with hills made it lose power. We’re doing the same run tomorrow so will see how it fares minus the lights. The dog is looking much better already. She’s more alert and is eating. Hopefully this is her on the mend now. She has a check up
tomorrow so we’ll see what the vet says.Had to phone customer services about my good food app because since they recently changed the subscription to magazine and app combined I haven’t been able to
log into it despite renewing a year’s subscription in May. The rep couldn’t resolve it over the phone so I’ve had to screenshot the error message and send it to them. Hopefully they’ll sort it soon. What a miserable gloomy day it’s been here. I don’t think it ever got properly light.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I've had the little lamp on next to my laptop all daytime for a while now, it's definitely getting wintery
Glad doggo is seeming much brighter, hope vet all goes smoothly
Hope the app stuff gets sorted, why do companies always make things worse in their 'improvements' 🙄

So what would happen if Mr SA wanted to go up the hill at 5pm on a winters day…..he’d need the lights on then 😯January spends - £587.582

A battery that can't cope with having the lights on *** isn't fit for purpose """
What if you both wanted to go out for the evening? What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?2 -
Thank you all. I agree he should be able to use the scooter uphill and have the lights on. We don't go anywhere at night on the whole but this shouldn't stop him using it if he needed to. We'd been quite a distance to the vets and back but the scooter is meant to do 35 miles on one charge. I wouldn't be surprised if it's something to do with him not covering up the scooter and battery charger when its wet. the scooter and charger are kept in a covered area but it doesn't stop the damp getting in. Damp weather has affected it before. Anyway it will be a case of keeping an eye on the situation.
Thank you for the info @tunathe_cat. I don't plan to use the wheelchair much but it will be handy for going on the bus/train.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Morning all.
WFH today thank goodness.
The dog has a check up later this morning, we need to leave in just over an hour.
I'm feeling quite overwhelmed at the minute with trying to fit in work, looking after the dog and everything else.
Mr SA is being challenging again just when I don't need it. Yesterday he had an accident resulting in another load of washing. I caught him about to put yet more seed outside when there's still plenty in that hanging basket he filled the other day. I bought 5 bags of nuts/seeds on Saturday and there's hardly any left. The garden is full of squirrels at the moment and they're chasing the birds away from the food. Yesterday a squirrel was sitting in the hanging basket just gorging itself.
Last night I caught him sneaking an extra beer when he knows what his limit is. I took it off him which made him angry saying I'm policing everything he does!
I also don't appreciate him using the bath mat to mop up his accidents then hanging it back up on the towel rail. I really don't want to stand on a bath mat that stinks of urine as I was about to this morning.
Anyway...
Had a nice relaxing start to the day and read a few chapters of my book, did some Spanish lessons and a short meditation.
Today's exercise will be walking to/from the vets, a lunchtime strength training session and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner will involve a portion of black bean stew from freezer stocks. I made it ages ago so it's about time it was used. I think I'll stir fry some veg to have with it and put it in a wrap for a fajita type thing.

The dog is so much better today. The vet was really pleased with her. She gave her another anti-sickness shot just in case and also gave her ears a good clean. I don't need to take her back unless she goes downhill.
I nipped in B&M while we were down that way so Mr SA got his Gr£ggs coffee and sausage roll.
The scooter started lose power on the hill on the way back and I had to push it again. Mr SA rang the scooter shop and they've been to pick it up and left him with a courtesy one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Good news about your dog......but that scooter battery doesn't sound right at all. Good idea to get it looked at as it's a heavy thing to push, especially as I gather Mr SA isn't a featherweight. Hope the scooter shop can do something to help.
