They’re still on the list of items included. Checked earlier. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were removed though.beanielou said:I think they may have ended the potato sacks as a free thing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Oh no! I may have had the last of them. Interestingly, we shared the one we got recently, as we'd been hard put to finish the first, then this afternoon I discovered a good part of the first bag under the stairs, sprouting like a forest! I've cut the sprouts off and thrown them in a potato bag to take their chances, and the slightly shrivelled remainder are soaking in a pan overnight in case they are worth saving.beanielou said:I think they may have ended the potato sacks as a free thing.
So if they've retracted the big bags of potatoes as a 'prize' what's the next best? One time I got a bag of sweet potatoes, which was the best price/food value I could come up with at the time.
@Sun_Addict, thank you for the recipe links! I have my beady eye on the soup one.

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office until 2pm WFH for the remainder of the day to finish up a couple of bits. Absolute nightmare with IT connectivity down in the office all morning! So annoying when you've got loads to do.
Had to walk through a load of protesters and police on the way home. I've never seen so many police in one place! Way more than there were protestors. Apart from one that they were carrying off the other protestors were just standing there quietly.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and picked up the free 7.5kg bag of potatoes - so they're still on the freebie list. Thought I'd better grab them quick just in case.
The dog is finally eating proper dog food again, thank goodness!
The builder has got back to me with a quote for the loft ladder, office window and bathroom fan. I'm happy with the price so have accepted and will wait for him to get back to me with a start date. Once I have that date I can contact the painter. Thankfully this latest tranche of work shouldn't be too disruptive like last year's work.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I also went to the big Mr S near (ish) work so quite a lot of steps so far at 22,403 including 2 x 12 flights of stairs. Resistance bands later. The visit to Mr S was a bit of waste of time as I was looking for a nice jumper but couldn't find one. I got the GK's advent calendars though.
Tonight's dinner is another new recipe using up items I have in stock sweet potato with masala spiced baked beans.
I've booked a day off work in a couple of weeks to take Mr SA for his eye test and also let him have a look at the city centre Christmas market. He'll be able to have his coffee and bacon roll in Nero first then I've promised him lunch out afterwards on the way home. It might stop him moaning when he finds out I'm out for lunch with friends again next Friday and then again the Friday after.

Must have been quite scary walking near the protests….Im a real coward 😯
Pleased the potatoes are still available. I ended up with a big box of mushrooms this time as I still had half my potatoes left. I always went to Asda….last year I’d accumulated £30 for Christmas on various offers - they seem to have pulled the offers as I only have £3 this year. I have saved in the savings scheme so will get £15 bonus. But I’ve pulled my custom to Lidl since they’ve pulled the deals 😂😂January spends - £587.587
