Thank you for yet another very promising recipe, @Sun_Addict! My printer is going to over-heat at this rate (perhaps I should be MS and use the heat to make some soup?)
I've salvaged the remains of September's potato bounty and turned them into mash which will be frozen in portions. As I think I mentioned, I got more in October but divided the bag with DD, thus giving both of us a more manageable amount. I'm quite pleased they are still around as a freebie, as it will make quite a difference and fill a few tummies. It's just that I'm past the days where I had a lot of mouths to fill!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all
WFH today so a nice relaxing start to the day, no dashing off out into the cold and dark.
Have just taken the dog out and it's bitterly cold out there although very sunny. She's had a really good walk around the park and is improving so much since last week's issues.
Mid-week finance check done and cc balance paid. An oddment of £4.47 has gone to the Christmas 2026 pot. It will also be a NSD.
Still need to decide what I'm having for dinner tonight, it will be based on what needs using up/current stocks.
Today's exercise is dog walking (just done) a short dance workout, a short inner thighs workout and a Get Fit with Rick Christmas steps workout. No Zumba again tonight hence the mix of short sessions from U Tube.
Cleaning tasks are the bathroom and bedroom. Think I might put the Christmas duvet cover on. At the Christmas event last Saturday the stylists said it was a good idea to slowly introduce Christmas decorations so it's not too overwhelming doing them all in one go which I like the idea of. I still think it's too early to put the tree up, I usually do this the first Sunday in December but might do it Sunday 30 November this year as we're at a Christmas fair on 7 December.

That's what I do for Advent, @Sun_Addict. On Advent Sunday, the fabric Advent calendar goes up, then I aim to bring out a festive thing every day until the 14th when the tree goes up & I add festive table cloths, bunting, kitchen linens, etc, crocks after that. I think it makes me enjoy all our Christmas things more than if I lumped them all out in one go.

Morning all, happy Friday eve.
WFH again today. So glad not to be going out into that cold weather although I need to take the dog out later.
Mr M delivery arrived at 6am, only a small order as I spread the shopping between Mr M, Lid! and Mr T depending on price. The Mr M orders are picked at a fulfilment centre rather than from the store and the picker has sent me a pack of 3 of Mr SA's face cream, currently on offer, so he's got 3 for the price of 1. That should keep him going for a year.
Today's exercise is dog walking later 🥶 followed by strength training at lunchtime and another Rick Christmas walking workout plus a 15 minute abs, waist and core workout later.
Tonight I will get around to making the sweet potato with masala spiced beans I didn't make on Tuesday because I didn't have any cannellini beans - I have now 🙂
Starting to check early Black Friday offers for the things I have my eye on. I need a new dressing table stool, one with substantial legs that Mr SA can't break, a little footstool for the living room and the sparkly Skechers I've been looking at for the best part of the year but I deemed too pricey. I think I'm going to have to replace the dishwasher sooner rather than later as, although it's still working in a fashion, it's not performing very well and the enamel is peeling off the front revealing quite a lot of rust.
DD has gone to work so today's cleaning mission is the kitchen.

I've wanted a pair of black sparkly skechers for ages now. I finally invested in the skecher slip-ins and that has made all the difference in getting shoes on and off. I managed to give the kitchen a good clean plus steam mop all the floors by extending my lunch break. Mr SA was asleep as well as DD being at work so it was too good an opportunity to miss. It meant I finished work later but it was worth it.The masala spiced beans were absolutely gorgeous. I was surprised as they didn’t look much in the pan but the flavour was amazing. I made enough for 2 portions so one carried over for a weekend lunch on a jacket potato.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

It's worth checking Vinted for Skechers, they have loads.
I'm going to try the masala spiced beans, it looked too good not to.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
