Really sorry Mr SA is being challenging at the minute. You said you were worried about him flicking the TV channels the other week. Could something be going on? Not to worry or anything as you know him, but if his behaviour has suddenly got worse it might be worth mentioning it to his specialist. You know him best anyway so sure you will know if this is different.

Hope you get some rest time and he doesn't find the gin.

I'm not concerned there's anything sinister going on but thanks for flagging. His behaviour seems to go in cycles so he'll have a spate of being challenging then go quiet for a bit. I think a lot of it is to do with loss of control as he used to be quite a controlling person and he still doesn't like people telling him what he can and can't do.

I'm trying a new recipe for the stir fry tonight from a PON book - Thai-style basil tofu stir fry with jasmine rice. It ticks the boxes of trying a new recipe and using up veg. The actual recipe isn't available on the website yet but you can get the general idea from the photo. I'm going to air fry the tofu separately rather than mince it up as I like tofu to be fairly crunchy.

I know you are aware of changes with him. Not easy caring for him though no matter which cycle he is in.

You truly deserve every inch of recognition you get.

Sorry Mr SA is being challenging.  You are a wonder in what you put up with although I guess you have no option.  Hope you manage to get a nice evening and the gin is well hidden.

Sorry @Sun_Addict I should have known that. I think I was confused because you mentioned buying a rum gift set for his Christmas box. I hope I haven't caused any offence. If I did, it was not meant

No offence taken at all so no need to say sorry. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned before about his issues with spirits and if I did I wouldn’t expect anyone to remember. To be honest he’s quite restrained with the mini bottles at Christmas but give him a big bottle 🙀

I really don't know how you manage to put up with all the trials and tribulations of Mr SA and yet still retain your sense of humour, let alone working full time and  running the house and everything else you do.

I'm sorry you're feeling down at the moment.
Not a lot anyone can say as, as you say, no-one can plan or mitigate for ending up having an extra child who's meant to be their husband.
And while it doesn't help with your constant stress, just to reiterate, you are effing brilliant and I hope that occasionally when you're struggling you remember that you have a whole load of people here who have your back and see how brilliant you are. Not just in managing your lot but as a clever, kind, funny, capable woman.

Do you think there have been any prompts to Mr SA going into a naughty phase?
Pure guessing and amateur psychology, but could it be something like the fence being finished so he doesn't feel like he's being 'useful' or is just plain bored? Is there a corner of the garden you could say you really want a small wooden storage box in, that he could apply his time and skills to?

I know none of this makes everything better, just trying to come up with anything that will possibly make things better for a bit!
Also a gin bottle slightly hidden that is half gin and half water maybe meets in the middle 😁
