Lanzarote has finally been booked for April ๐ Same hotel as this year as it was ideal albeit a bit pricey but got ยฃ200 off.ยEuphoria short lived as caught Mr SA drinking my gin out of the bottle. My fault as I got complacent and didnโt hide it. Shouldโve realised I canโt trust him ๐ก I donโt know why he does it, neat gin isnโt nice, probably because he thinks itโs naughty. Lesson learned and itโs now hidden away which is a shame because itโs a lovely bottle. Iโve told him Iโm disappointed in him but doubt heโs bothered. Itโs so annoying as I keep gin for the weekend and really savour it and thereโs him necking it out of the bottle and probably not even liking the taste.ยI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here ๐ช8

Oh that's awful about your gin! How about putting it in a water bottle and filling the gin bottle with vinegar?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Now you have just proved what I always thought.ย That everyone on here was much nicer than me. Because I was thinking about a diuretic, well that wasn't my first thought but then I realised that SA would have to clean that up anyway.3 -
Not nice re your gin. Why doesn't he get his own gin?If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

The main reason is that he has both a brain injury and mobility/balance issues and has been told by his consultant to avoid spirits and strong alcohol. He has a very low alcohol tolerance limit and on the odd occasion he's sneaked an extra beer in he's had a fall and ended up in hospital. It's me to has to deal with the fallout and the mess he makes as it also upsets his IBD.ยdoingitanyway said:Not nice re your gin. Why doesn't he get his own gin?
The second reason being is that he claims he doesn't like gin ๐
At Christmas I usually buy him a gift set with miniature bottles of rum as that way the measures can be controlled and he can't get carried away. It also means he's getting a taster of something he likes but doesn't usually have.
I think the reason why he's doing this with my gin is that he knows he shouldn't be drinking it and it makes him feel naughty, he's never been able to cope with being told what to do.

Afternoon all.ย
Worked in the office this morning and back home now as I have a Mr M delivery coming shortly. Nice to think I'm not back in the office until Friday.ย
The veg box arrived before I set off for work at 6.30.ย
I didn't sleep too well last night and got up super early so took a few minutes to do a lovely morning meditation from the FitOn app then read some of my book.ย
I'm still cross with Mr SA, he's being very challenging just lately, not just the gin. I could really do without it.ย It's getting me down to be honest but I'm trying not to think about it too much. I didn't realise that once the kids had grown up I'd have a third one to look after.
Anyway...
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work, the dance challenge and resistance bands tonight.
I think tonight's dinner will be a stir fry as I have lots of veg that needs using.ยI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here ๐ช10
