I'm going to open another Nwide one as the interest rate is good but it won't let me do it today, it's saying I already have one open. I'll try again tomorrow.Makingabobor2 said:My regular saver has just matured as well. The hygienist visit was fine as these appointments usually are when you're dreading them.
Mr SA is really testing my patience today. He claimed he had no lip balms left when in fact he has 2 full ones on the go. A couple of weeks ago I stocked up at Lid! when they gave me a 15% off voucher and planned to release them when he needs them as last time I put them in the cupboard he opened all of them at the same time, several of which went missing. He likes to have one in every man bag and one in every pocket apparently! Despite having 2 lip balms he said he'd go to the shops and buy himself a couple so he doesn't run out. To stop him doing this I've had to release a fresh lip balm to stop him going into panic mode.
Oh the joys of caring for someone with a brain injury 😖I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Yes the NW one looks like a good one, limited to £200 a month, which is more than enough for this particular saving pot. But it says you can only open it with up to £200 & I wanted to move £700 into it to start it offSun_Addict said:

Think I'll have to have more than one and split what I have already saved into more than one account. We have started what I am calling our "new car account", so that when the time comes in the future, we have money saved. Obviously it will be 2nd hand and not brand new....but it sounds better to call it that....LOL I also have the EF in a higher interest account.Sun_Addict said:

That NW account makes no sense though. It says maximum balance £5,000,000 and then it says the maximum you can open it with is £200 and the most you can put in it each month is £200, so how would anyone get £5million in it??Making the debt go down and savings go up

Morning all.
WFH again today so have enjoyed a slow start to the day. I think between 5 and 7am in the morning is my favourite time of the day on the days I'm not in the office.
I've opened a new Nwide regular saver and sent across the first £200. I didn't notice anything about £5m @Makingabobor2, it suits my needs anyway.
Today's exercise is dog walking later, a lunchtime strength training class and Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner will be veg stew with veggie sausages. I've got loads of veg to use up. Last night I ended up with a stir fry which used up some odds and ends.
Yet another spending day as it's the park volunteers group AGM tonight in the pub so will be buying a drink. I feel I ought to attend this one with it being the AGM and I sent last minute apologies for the last meeting.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Yes, the savings account suits my needs as well, for our car savings. I also opened one of the others at 3.5%, but with no max limit, this is for EF.
Sausages in veg stew sounds lovely. Just right for this weather. I need to do some batch cooking/freezing I think.Making the debt go down and savings go up
