I'm going to open another Nwide one as the interest rate is good but it won't let me do it today, it's saying I already have one open. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yes the NW one looks like a good one, limited to £200 a month, which is more than enough for this particular saving pot. But it says you can only open it with up to £200 & I wanted to move £700 into it to start it off

Think I'll have to have more than one and split what I have already saved into more than one account. We have started what I am calling our "new car account", so that when the time comes in the future, we have money saved. Obviously it will be 2nd hand and not brand new....but it sounds better to call it that....LOL  I also have the EF in a higher interest account.

That NW account makes no sense though. It says maximum balance £5,000,000 and then it says the maximum you can open it with is £200 and the most you can put in it each month is £200, so how would anyone get £5million in it??

Yes, the savings account suits my needs as well, for our car savings. I also opened one of the others at 3.5%, but with no max limit, this is for EF.

Sausages in veg stew sounds lovely. Just right for this weather. I need to do some batch cooking/freezing I think.
