Dusting off vintage labels with a silk cravat 🤣🤣 Does wine hang around long enough in your cellar to be classed as vintage 🤣PennysIntoPounds said:Aw poor dog, have there been diwali fireworks nearby?
Excellent cellar restocking 🥂
We were just looking at our cellar (once we'd gone down the many stairs and brushed through the cobwebs and wiped some of the dust off the vintage labels with a spare silk cravat) and saying we didn't get any summer at all to drink the summery bottles we'd put aside for a picnic or two
Hope you have the time and weather for a bit of gardening tomorrow morning, the forecast is looking miserable here too
The dog isn’t bothered by fireworks thankfully, she’s just a dog who loves to cuddle. I think she was cold yesterday.

The ones we bought a month ago for picnics are more vintage than the ones we bought yesterday for merry supping, so yes, several of them are of a fine vintage of September 2025 😂🥂
Glad dog is okay and just seasonal snuggling3 -
And that’s another weekend flown by 😭
Put a colour on my hair this morning.
Wrote a review for the free sample face mask I received to review. Shocked to discover it retails at £9 for one mask!!! Fair to say I won’t be buying it.
Managed to get a bit of gardening done before it started raining. Moved the geraniums and marguerite to the greenhouse. Planted the winter pansies and cyclamen in pots on the patio for winter colour.Took the dog on the park and did a litter pick. Do kids nowadays know how to use a litter bin, appears not 😞
As DD was at work gave the kitchen a good clean and steam scrubbed all the downstairs floors.Trying a new recipe tonight from my veg box website Mushroom & Lentil Cottage Pie. Also made Mr SA a meat cottage pie for dinner. After that poured myself a glass of wine and settled down to watch Hocus Pocus with the dog. Never get tired of this film, absolutely love it.Busy week ahead, 4 days at work then it’s DS’s Halloween wedding on Friday. It seems to have taken ages for this to come around and all of a sudden it’s here. The builder I messaged is coming over in the week to give a quote for the loft ladder and office window.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Forgot to say I also did yet another freezer inventory. Prompted by last night I thought I had a meat kebab for Mr SA’s dinner and turned out I’d used them all up. I used meatballs instead and threaded them on a skewer. He enjoyed them and said you could tell the difference between ready made and home made meatballs. Thing is they were from Lid! 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

£9 for a one-use face mask?! You'd best take your I.D next time you go to buy prosecco if it's claiming to be that good
I can't believe it's DS's wedding next week! Did they want a Halloween wedding or were they being mse as no-one else did?
Brilliant productivity as usual 👏
Haha bless Mr SA, as long as he enjoyed then he never needs to know 😁
