£9 for a one-use face mask?! You'd best take your I.D next time you go to buy prosecco if it's claiming to be that good

I can't believe it's DS's wedding next week! Did they want a Halloween wedding or were they being mse as no-one else did?

    Brilliant productivity as usual 👏

Haha bless Mr SA, as long as he enjoyed then he never needs to know 😁

The Halloween wedding was planned. DIL is obsessed with Halloween, witchcraft, pagan stuff, etc.
Ah that's nice they got the date that suited then. Do they have a Halloween etc wedding gift list?
Because they’ve been living together so long (12 years) they don’t really need anything. However on my suggestion they’re setting up a PayPal account so people can send money towards the honeymoon or something they need. I offered to pay for an aspect of the wedding as a present but they declined saying it’s all sorted.

Our family wedding over the weekend was very similar in that they've been together ages and don't need 'stuff' so contributions to a honeymoon were made.

    Afternoon all.

Worked in the office until lunchtime then back home to finish up.

Payslips available to view today so now know how much the pay rise is without the back pay and can adjust my budget accordingly.

Popped into Primani on the way home and picked up the last 3 of those candles. The queue was horrendous but it moved fairly quickly in the end.

Mr SA met me outside Lid! with the dog. Picked up my free condiment, decided on brown sauce as Mr SA gets through a fair bit of it. Certainly won't make it to the £250 spend for 10% off but today's scratch card has awarded me £5 off my next shop 🙂

I realised I was running out of time to get DS and DIL a wedding card so ordered a personalised one online. I was looking in card shops on Friday but was struggling to find one I liked.

The weather was lovely today, pity it wasn't like this yesterday when I wanted to do some gardening. Shame I didn't hang any washing out. It was nice to walk to work in the light again although I realise this will be short lived.

Today's exercise has been walking to/from work, today's dance challenge and strength training tonight. If I get time I'm also going to do a live aerobics session at 6pm.

Tonight's dinner is a portion of the mushroom & lentil cottage pie with winter green topping leftover from yesterday. It was absolutely gorgeous, definitely one for the make again list.

Just looked at the cottage pie link, that looks so tasty. Wish I could get DH to eat mushrooms. Not sure I could disguise them enough in that.

You could grate them so he couldn’t see them but then if he really doesn’t like them he’d still be able to taste them I guess. My DD won’t touch mushrooms.

Having said that I only make things for myself. Mr SA wouldn’t eat any of the things I do. I either half the portion and have it twice or freeze some.

Yes I suppose I could try that. Never grated a mushroom, aren't they a bit soft?  Maybe a swizz in the processor. Its the texture he doesn't like. Same reason he won't eat egg whites....LOL

I meant put them in the food processor rather than grate 🤦‍♀️ I’ve done this before for a recipe and it worked very well.

Thar recipe for the cottage pie sounds amazing - MrEH isn't much of a lentil fan but I can usually get him to eat them in with other things. (Which is a good thing as I love them, and have no intention of ruling them out of my diet!)
