And we’re back home.It was a lovely wedding, a traditional pagan ceremony with hand fasting, invoking the four elements and lighting a unity candle. The celebrants were dressed in traditional pagan clothing. It was just so different. My DIL looked beautiful she had dried flowers woven into her hair and a beautiful dress. The venue itself was stunning.Thankfully the rain held off for the ceremony as it was outside but the heavens opened almost as soon as we got back inside.Had to go out on a last minute hunt for a jacket for Mr SA this morning and luckily he found a really smart new looking one in the CS for £4. He mostly behaved himself but got a bit carried away with beers and food. The caterers had made a load of chips for the children and Mr SA somehow managed to bag a huge plateful for himself. I had to tell him to wind his neck in at one stage.DIL’s family are lovely and it was good to finally meet them.I’ll share a couple of photos obviously not the ones with people on.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10

That looks amazing. I thought it was the table decorations until I read it was the cake.
Sorry Mr SA wasn't on best behaviour, even though he did find a suit jacket last minute.

What an amazing cake. Sorry to hear Mr SA ate too many chips. Hope he doesn't have any reactions to the excess in beer.Making the debt go down and savings go up

So pleased it was such a wonderful day for everyone. Too many chips is not too bad an outcome considering what MrSA might have done.

I am glad to hear all went well. Bagging lots of chips is not a bad outcome for Mr SA. I love the wedding cake and the venue looks beautiful.3
