Gorgeous - both cake and garden. I'm glad Mr SA got his jacket, and everything went well - and that you have in-laws that you like! Thanks for the lovely photos.
I now have my sights set on those giant terracotta pots and a large plate of chips. (Sigh).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

How lovely all round, I'm so pleased for you.
If the worst thing that happened was Mr SA scoffing some chips, I would count that as an excellent day!
Very impressed with their cake, the ceremony sounds perfect for them, and the venue grounds look beautiful.
Well done to you too for raising a decent chap and acquiring a new official daughter in law and nice in-laws 🥂https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

It was more the amount of beer he was consuming that was a worry. I dread to think what state he’d be in the it had been a long reception. There was a bucket of beer for guests and I think he thought they were all for him. DS bought him a couple of pints but he still kept shuffling back and forth to that bucket. I had to grab his arm and steer him back to his seat a couple of times. When we all went outside to throw dried flowers over the happy couple he stayed inside and nabbed another beer. I got back inside just in time to see him sneak the empty bottle on another table. Fortunately, apart from DD having to hoist him up when he missed the taxi seat and almost fell, there were no incidents. He did have an upset tummy last night but that was hardly surprising after all that food and beer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Another who is glad that the wedding was enjoyable. It must also be difficult to never be able to switch off though and constantly be on alert as to what Mr SA is up to. Hope his tummy didn't result in endless cleaning for you.

So glad it all went well. The cheeky devil, staying inside to nab another beer!

Happy November!Unfortunately today has been a bit of a ‘mare 😞
When Mr SA eventually got up this morning we went to the big Mr T. I’d picked up some dog 💩 from the garden, bagged it up ready to put in the bin and put it on the foot plate of Mr SA’s scooter while I opened the gate for him to back out. Realised halfway down the road I’d forgotten to put it in the bin but thought oh well I’ll put it in a bin on the way to Mr T. Passed a bin and went to retrieve it to find it had disappeared. So goodness knows where it is 😞
Decided to retrace our steps on the way home and look for the 💩 bag. However Mr SA’s scooter battery ran out of power just as we were about to tackle one of the many steep hills that are unavoidable around here if you want to go anywhere. He’d forgotten to put it on charge and didn’t check the status before we set out.He came to a complete standstill on a hill. I had to take the dog home so I could come back with his walker for him to try and walk up the hill while I tried to push the scooter up the hill. Then he wet himself with the stress. The dog wouldn’t budge so I had to carry her up the hill and most of the way back home. I came back with the walker to find a very kind man with a van had stopped to help Mr SA. He helped me push the scooter up the hill then went back to pick up Mr SA and take him home. I pushed the scooter on the flat although it was still an ordeal. A woman with a pram had to stop and help me at one stage as I got stuck between a hedge and a car that was parked taking up a lot of the pavement. The van man came to look for me and helped me back home with the scooter.Thank goodness for helpful kind people. In the meantime Mr SA had messed himself with the stress 😞 He cleaned himself up but made a mess of the bathroom so I had that to do.He’s now asleep in bed so trying to relax a bit before I do some more cleaning up. As the weather is sunny and windy I’ve got a fair bit of washing dry so that needs ironing. What a morning!!So looking forward to feet up with Prosecco and Strictly tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Thankfully there are a lot of kind people around. I am sorry though that today has been a nightmare. Hopefully prosecco and strictly tonight will allow you to relax a little.September 2017 Debt = £25330
