Happy Saturday 🥂
DD got home about 10.30 last night. I didn’t know she was back until this morning as I was fast asleep at that time. She’s feeling sore at the moment which is to be expected. We didn’t bother going to the big Mr T this morning as we didn’t need anything so it would only be to drop off the soft plastics. We took the dog on the park instead. We went to our local newly refurbished pub for lunch, it looks lovely, seems they’ve spent a fair bit on it. I had a falafel salad wrap and Mr SA had ham and cheese on a toasted ciabatta with chips. The pub was quite busy, I guess others were also checking it out, it only reopened Thursday night. It’s a shame the weather was so wet as they’ve got a lovely outdoor seating area. We didn’t take the dog as she’s a pain anywhere that serves food.Managed to do a small bit of gardening done when we got back until it started raining yet again. Also got a bit of cleaning done and changed the bedding. Mr SA had his siesta.Just finished painting my nails so will shortly be cracking on with dinner. Beetroot burger, wedges and salad for me tonight. Beef burger in Mr SA’s case. Fizz is in the fridge chilling for later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Enjoy 🥂
Great that DD is back safe, and that your local refurb seems good. Tell them to put big outdoor covering and heaters in while they're in the first flush of improvements!3 -
I'm glad the news is good about DD. Yes - times have certainly changed with regard to the speed you are discharged from hospital these days. It's the same with having a baby. They seem to chuck you out poste haste after delivery these days. When I had DD in the early 70s they kept me in for a whole week. I didn't have any complications - that was standard then!
Your comment about the dog, eating out and food made me chuckle!😂Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Glad DD is home OK after her OP.
Our dog loves going out with us. He loves all of the attention he gets. He is good when there is food on the table though, he just lies under the table. Probably in the hope that someone will drop something 🤣🤣🤣

Absolutely shattered tonight 🥱 Have had a really busy day and still didn’t get everything done I’d hoped to do.We went to Ald! this morning as I wanted to buy the Easter Island planter. The Easter Island head by the pond now has a baby brother 🤣
Did some gardening after lunch, loads of weeding and tidying. All while Mr SA slept 😐 When he finally got up he came outside with his clicky walking stick pointing out things he thought I might have forgotten to do 😐
After that made a banana loaf to use up some past their best bananas and a chickpea salad for Monday/Tuesday work lunches. I needed something I can eat while note taking tomorrow as I’m minuting back to back meetings over lunchtime 11.30-12.30 then 12.30-14.00 not looking forward to that 😞
DD is in quite a bit of pain and paracetamol isn’t touching it. I can’t believe they discharged her without pain relief.Got the carpet cleaner out and cleaned the landing and stairs carpet. Only the second time I’ve used it and once again impressed with how clean the carpet now looks. I did the rug in the dining room too then the dog who is rarely sick threw up on it 😖 My house is all hard floors apart from the stairs/landing and two rugs so why did she choose to throw up on the rug!!
Tonight’s dinner was stir fry as I’d run out of steam by then and just wanted something quick and easy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
That's strange. I had codeine when I was discharged. Perhaps she can phone her dr and see if she can get prescribed something xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
Great you got the planter, will Fred Head's brother be getting a name too? 😁
Poor DD, that's so shoddy. Is she also taking ibuprofen? As with the paracetamol it probably won't help hugely but anything to take the edge off, and the double combo might help more..1
