Glad DD's op has been done and she's safely back on the ward. Enjoy your G&T! 🥂

That's a good idea. She'll feel a bit sore for a few weeks. Think it took me about 2 weeks to get back to a sense of normal.

She'll feel better being in her own bed. X

It seems fairly normal now.  I had a hip replacement at exactly the same age as my father just 25 years later.  He was in for 2 weeks & I was out less than 24 hours after the op & I was fine to come out too.  He didn't drive for months & I waited 4 weeks although only because I felt I ought to as I was completely fine after 2 weeks.  A lot of it seems to be the difference in the meds you have.  It is a little weird listening to someone taking a hammer & chisel to your hip though.

A peaceful day for DD and a pub day for you sounds perfect. Hope she's not too late back, though as @Willowtree222 says, she'll be glad of her own bed and being back home

I hope your DD gets a good night's sleep. Good to have her procedure behind her and excellent that they feel she's doing so well she can come home.
