I love the fern edge to the pond. We have some of those ferns and I'd love a little pond, but the idea of raising the ferns slightly would help them not to trail in the water... I'm thinking of adding some raised beds and divided walls to make life easier when we are older, so I might work on that idea at some point.
What a nuisance about the missing solar panels. Did you manage to get replacements?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That is gorgeous @Sun_Addict, what happy and elegant looking ferns, and I love your wooden head figure too. Do they have a name?2

Another lucky dip won on the lottery from last night.Mr SA has decided he really must have some sunglasses with orange lenses - where on earth does he get his ideas from 🤔 He sits there stabbing away at his phone with his finger googling things and comes up with some bizarre websites. Thankfully he has no idea how to buy things online.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Forgot to say, the main reason we went to the park with the nursery is they have a recycling area for plant pots, empty compost bags and small electrical items. Typically they’re no longer taking the compost bags and plant pots so we had to bring them back home. We did recycle Mr SA’s old hair clippers though. It was nice to see they had a recycling area for old kettles and toasters that go to local primary schools for their play kitchen areas. It’s a lovely big well maintained park, only 20 minutes walk from us and just 2 miles from the city centre.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Hooray for lucky dip win, and that is so nice the park with nursery has recycling and that they donate items for kids play. If any of the kids want an immersive experience and a trip to London I have a DBS certificate and a kitchen that needs cleaning 🤣3 -
I love your pond - and your stripey shed. As for Fred Head - wouldn't he look great in orange sunglasses? It's probably as well Mr SA hasn't worked out how to buy things online.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
