It turned out to be a lovely sunny day, a tad chilly but no rain 🥳
I got quite a bit done in the garden, did some weeding and moved the mangetout, green beans and strawberry plants to the greenhouse, all repotted into larger containers. Nice to see the dining room table again 😆
Ended up making soy salmon with sweet and sour aubergine for tonight’s dinner. This is a WW recipe I’ve made before and enjoyed. The spinach is rolled over to tomorrow’s Spanish butter bean stew.I’ve done 14,000 steps and a FitOn yoga session so happy with that. I attended a live WW mindfulness session this morning and the subject was stop comparing yourself to others which really resonated with me and plenty of others judging by the comments. This is something I need to work on as I see people I know doing nice things I can’t do because of Mr SA and feel like I’m missing out. I need to concentrate on the things I can do, I know this. Being out in the garden in the sunshine helped my mood immensely today.Everything is prepped ready for work tomorrow. At least it’s another short week. Going to watch For the love of Paul O’Grady then going to bed. Still shocked and gutted about it to be honest 😢 I follow his radio producer and good friend Malcolm Prince on Instagram and he’s been posting something every day, he’s devastated understandably. So very sad.And last but not least today ended up being NSD 1 of April. Will be a spendy month because of the holiday but all budgeted for.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Not meaning to lead anyone astray but the Paul O’Grady programme is next Sunday apparently oops 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

We've been gardening too - a beautiful day for it. Your plants are ahead of ours: I really must get some seeds sewn but while DS2's room is full of stuff, I'm very limited in where I can put them. So everything is waiting on some solicitors sorting out a bunch of documents so he can move into the flat. If they'd only hurry up, I might get tomatoes under way!
I didn't know WW did mindfulness. It sounds as though it was a helpful session. Is it any consolation to know lots of us look up to your levels of fitness and apparent capacity never to get exhausted? We can see it's tough with Mr SA though.
Soy salmon sounds yummy: you've got me looking for a recipe. I found one with honey and soy that looks very tasty. Tonight's dinner here was a Riverford one with sweet potatoes, spinach and lentils. Definitely a keeper!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It was a lovely day to be outside yesterday wasn't it - we spent some time outside as well with a walk at the local RSPB reserve. Today's nice here too.
A great phrase I saw on social media somewhere a while ago is "Stop comparing your wrinkly inside with everyone else's carefully presented outside" - meaning the things you "see" others doing are often not a reflection of their real life at all, just the bits of those lives they choose to show others - and let's be honest very few folk decide to tell others about the grotty bits, do they! Made me stop and think, that.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

That’s Monday done.Have been in the office all day today. Only had a small gap between meetings so no time to walk home and recommence from there. The office was really busy today but by 3pm was virtually empty!Went for a walk round the block at lunchtime as I had to take a 30 minute break and didn’t want to spend it just sitting.Nipped into Lid! On the way home, their prices are really creeping up!Have done 23,000 steps which included a bonus one off live WW bums and tums session at 6.15.Tonight’s dinner was Spanish style butter bean stew with vegan sausages. I made 2 portions so one will become a work lunch. The new 4 week budget period starts today, will tot up the finances tomorrow as have had enough of computing today.@Cherryfudge that sweet potato, spinach and lentil recipe sounds delicious.@EssexHebridean that is so true, people only post the good things on social media, that said I know a couple of people who seem to love the drama of posting bad things happening to them - in great detail 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Happy Monday SA - totally agree re Lid1 prices - OH likes their rice puddings which used to be £1.67 less than a year ago and they are now £2.49 - it has motivated me to make my own which is way more delicious anyway and much more cost effective (although it does take a fair about of time in the oven!)Lancashire

The crunchy topping is worth including. Moroccan style spinach, sweet potato and lentil stew / Riverford
You've reminded me I've not cooked with butter beans for ages. We used to have them as a vegetable when we were kids but nowadays it's mostly in casseroles with, as you say, sausages.

I love butterbeans.
Glad the sunshine is helping your mood
I agree about the price rises in Mr L. There are some things I used to buy there that I go without now...

Its the same with A/d! their prices seem to go up every time I shop. Saw a thing the other day on news showing the % rise in supermarkets and L & A had actually risen by a higher % than the others. TBH, I'm starting to go back towards Mr S & Mr A now & just some things from A/d! . It just seems to take ages to work out where to shop each time these days.Making the debt go down and savings go up
