I made a lovely roast veg and orzo bake for dinner tonight. First time I’ve done orzo in the Ninja and it was delicious. I’m on a FB cooking group and they extol the virtues of Mutti Polpa tinned tomatoes. Mr M had a pack of 4 on offer for £4, which is cheap for that brand apparently but rather more than I’d normally pay. This is the first time I’ve tried them and I must say they’re worth every penny. They’re like a cross between chopped tomatoes and passata.A couple of nights ago I mentioned my Ninja oven was tripping the electrics. Well thankfully it isn’t now so it must’ve dried out. Mental note not to put the tray back in it when I’ve first washed it, wait until it’s dry first.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Its a pity you can't find some sort of community club Mr SA could go to sometimes to engage with like minded people. He might enjoy himself and it would give you a rest sometimes.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It must be frustrating for you to have him under your feet 24/7 SA. I can imagine that early retirement may not be on the cards for you as at least you get a break at work. I was afraid when my DH took early retirement he would struggle to fill his time but he is a model railway enthusiast and belongs to two clubs (no doubt full of old codgers) so they have days working on railway layouts and coffee mornings leaving me free to do my own things three or four days a week. It gives us both our own space. It is a shame Mr SA is not sociable as the local U3a might have an interest group which works for him.

I'm having a tiny taste of what you deal with SA with a difficult series of hospital admissions and dodgy discharges for my mum lately and it only reinforces my view that you are a saint. On most days I still make it home but you have next to no respite.

Oh no - I'd struggle if people tried to interfere with my plants, no wonder you are stressed. He doesn't make it easy.

The thing is he’s in his 50’s but stuck in an 80s time warp. He thinks he’s still young but is unaware things have moved on. Drives me nuts 😖

I need to find something to do that doesn’t involve Mr SA. I used to have regular catch ups with friends but they’ve gone quiet of late 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
