I’m another rainbow fan. On our journey home in Millie Motorhome on Friday we saw a couple of beauties.I’m pleased Mr SA took heed of the scooter warning. Is it a person you see regularly and could he casually mention he isn’t to drive a car….that’s why he has his scooter? He might listen to somebody who isn’t you iykwim 🤷🏻♀️Not long until take off. EnjoyJanuary spends - £587.584

Scooter service is done and all is ok with it. He did the service in his van so Mr SA got it back within 30 minutes.Spent the £5 off £30 in Lid!. Bought some compost and strawberry plants as well as food. I’ve now qualified for a free product, nothing great unfortunately.Mr M sent me the £38 off my next shop voucher so that’s come off tomorrow’s shop.It was so nice outside this afternoon that I did a couple of hours of gardening including cleaning and tidying the greenhouse. It was quite warm in the sun, it’s really made a difference getting rid of those two trees. I managed to fill the garden waste bin, I wasn’t going to bother putting it out tonight as it was almost empty but now it’s full.Remembered to log into the work meeting, thankfully it only lasted 15 minutes and I haven’t volunteered to do anything 😆 I did notice I’ve got 51 emails in my inbox to look forward to tomorrow morning though. I’ve only been off a day!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I like the sound of your butternut squash dhal. I have some cauliflower so I might make a cauliflower dhal.
I laughed at your reaction at being awoken at 5.30am was to read a book and learn some Spanish. I would have tried to get back to sleep again! If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Wow £38 off a shop is a lot. How much do you have to spend to qualify for that?
You were lucky to get warm weather to work in garden, its been really cold here today and quite a bit of rain forecast the rest of the week. Think my garden might be a bit behind this year.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Think my garden might be a bit behind this year.To get £38 off I had to spend £100 4 weeks out of 5. I get 15% staff discount courtesy of DD so in reality it was £85. I always think I won’t spend that much but when you take into account beer, wine and pet food it soon adds up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today and the Mr M delivery arrived and was all packed away by 7am. No missing items or subs.
I woke up at 5am this morning which is my usual working day getting up time, although I'm not sure if this was because the dog got Mr SA up to let her out and he was making a lot of noise about it. Hopefully this is my body clock starting to reset itself.
One load of washing done but the weather looks a bit murky this morning so doubt it will be pegged out.
Exercise plans for today are live bums & tums session at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight. Step goal is 15,000 so will probably sneak in a dog walk and a Get Fit with Rick walking workout during the day. My working hours are very flexible thankfully so I can just take time out whenever convenient. I worked for years in a strict 9 to 5 job so really appreciate flexi time it's brilliant.
Have taken a portion of lentil stew out of the freezer for tonight's dinner. I think I'll do some spaghetti and turn it into lentil bolognese with a portion of side salad.
Cashed out £6.49 from PA last night so that's a good portion towards my weekly target of £10 survey money.

Morning all.
I feel quite shocked and sad this morning to hear of the very sudden passing of Paul O'Grady. I follow him on IG and he was so looking forward to his new radio show and other projects. I loved to watch For the Love of Dogs and it was obvious he adored dogs. So very sad.
WFH today. I've swapped Wednesday in the office for tomorrow as I have a routine mammogram tomorrow afternoon and it makes sense for me to be in the office as the screening unit is quite close to where I work. Not looking forward to that but it has to be done.
Money wise it should be NSD 9 of March. Another windows/door payment has gone out so now down to £1544.08 with 10 more payments to go. I had an email from Octopus to say despite losing the £67 they won't be putting up the DD yet as there's sufficient credit in the account, so that's good news.
Exercise is a goal of 15,000 steps including a live Zumba class at 6pm. Tonight's dinner is something quick and simple, scampi, wedges and veg.

We were shocked to hear the news about Paul this morning as well. A very sudden loss.
I suspect that our energy payment will be coming down shortly. We are still about £200 in credit from over the winter and last months bill was £160 which is what our payment is set too so we are paying too much. Not heard anything from them yet though and we are happy to keep some credit in the account for next winter.3 -
Yes - also saddened to hear of Paul O'Grady's death - and that it was unexpected must make it so much harder for his husband, family and friends too.
I got the same contact from Octopus too SA - which was handy as it agreed with what I'd already calculated - I don't think they OR us quite expected we'd emerge from the winter months with credit having only started with them as a customer in october!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
