Morning all, happy Monday, here we go again with another new week and yet another new month at the end of it.

Day off today thank goodness as I didn't wake up until after 6am. My body clock is still an hour behind. I'm WFH tomorrow and Wednesday so by the time I'm back in the office on Thursday I should've caught up with myself. I will need to log on for a brief meeting at 4pm as it's part of my D&I voluntary role and I want to make sure I'm not "volunteered" for anything major in my absence.

Woke up this morning to no heating and the electrics were off in the kitchen. Thankfully all sorted with the flick of the fuse box trip switch. I forgot to tell DD not to use the ninja oven as it tripped the electrics yesterday, I think it may have got a bit of wet in it and needs to dry out thoroughly before using. The freezer was off but luckily nothing has defrosted.ย

Finances checked, CC cleared of last week's spends and ยฃ6.49 shuffled to the 1p savings challenge. Not a lot happening until payday. This week is the last week of the 4 week budget period.

I need to go to Lid! today. I have a ยฃ5 off ยฃ30 spend and we need some compost and a few other things so might spend that amount. I'll see if there's anything I can get from there instead of the Mr M delivery tomorrow.ย

Mr SA's scooter is going in for a service this afternoon. It's been ok since he was warned to be more careful with it or he would have to be reassessed as to his suitability to drive it. Bearing in mind he was thinking he could get his drivers licence back!

Exercise today will be the long walk to and from Lid! and I'm going to find a FitOn class for later.ย

Tonight's dinner is leftover butternut squash dhal from Saturday.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Ooh, compost! What a good idea! For some reason I didn't think of that when you mentioned the garden offers over on my thread.

It's good that your freezer stayed okay - and at least you know it won't have been off for long. Our water has unexpectedly gone off this morning: before we went away they were putting a new main in (water pressure has been low for years and someone finally got their voice heard) so we came back to two days of normal water pressure - which feels like a nice surprise when you're not used to it! Here's hoping we have it again in an hour or so.

It's reassuring that Mr SA's scooter hasn't needed extra help. Perhaps the warning took effect? Also, perhaps you might brief the service person to give him a further warning in case he now goes back to his old ways!

And I hope you manage not to get 'volunteered' for something you don't want to do!
