A strong magnet gets the off! I had to google it after I unwrapped a boxed scarf from my aunty and it still had the tags on …. She’d sent the gift receipt in case I didn’t like it so wouldn’t have had a problem other than the messing about.Sealed pot challenge 822

Trying to get Mr SA to decide what he’s taking on holiday has proved to be a nightmare! Today probably isn’t the best day as he’s not been with it all day. Managed to persuade him 2 pairs of shoes is plenty although no doubt he’ll sneak another pair in at the last minute. Left him deciding which of his many walking sticks to take, apparently the walking poles are no longer suitable.
He’s hard work that’s for sure.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Yes, Mr SA has done well after his original problems. Just shows what a positive attitude can do. When my mum had her brain tumour, she had 3 ops and ended up in a care home for just over the 10 years of her life. She had to be hoisted in and out of bed/shower every day for those years. so Mr SA has done exceedingly well, even though he drives you mad some times. xMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Can't (well, fully can) believe the essential walking poles are no longer suitable 😂🤦♀️
Well done to YOU for making it through this many years with your sanity vaguely intact x3 -

I have had the same problem as you in that a security tag wasnt removed and I hadnt noticed it, Foolishly I tried to remove it and ruined the garment in the [rocess. On the other hand I set an alarm off last week with a joint of beef.2

The security alarms go off often with us but we have stopped searching for the culprit since learning that hearing aids can trigger the alarm.
Mind you I had once collected an online order via As da and the exit alarm sounded as the warehouse hadn't removed the tag when they prepared the item. Very embarrassing as they waved me through but it then set off an alarm elsewhere.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
Ugh back to work but WFH and only 4 days until I break up for almost two weeks so not so bad. The weather is lovely and sunny this morning, isn't that just typical after yesterday!
Mr M delivery coming later this morning. I've already booked a delivery for 2 weeks time when we're back home in case I forget.
Today's exercise will be dog walking later this morning, a lunchtime exercise session and resistance bands tonight.
Monday finance check done a day late. CC balance has been cleared and all recent spends logged on my spreadsheet and reconciled with pots.
I'm entering pre holiday panic zone and in the past I've been tempted to buy things that I don't really need, a bit like at Christmas. I've sorted out all my holiday clothes and most definitely don't need anything new. I always take a fritter fund away with me in case I see something nice, there are lots of nice shops there and I might see something lovely I can't buy here. Mr SA has already started shouting out things he thinks he needs or thinks I might have forgotten about 😬 I have a spreadsheet for everything including holiday lists 🤣
I'm making a veggie cottage pie with root veg mash for tonight's dinner. Leftovers will go in the freezer.
Cleaning task is the kitchen - in particular the fridge needs sorting out.

My fridge needs sorting too but no time this morning.
Real sympathy on the pre-holiday panic. I'm burying my head in the sane for as bit as ours is creeping up. Mr SA's lists must be a pressure you could do without, of course. Keep your eyes on the horizon though - not long till you can sit in a café on Sunset Strip!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
