Ah, sorry I thought you were replacing with a walk-in shower. Glad you are not getting rid of it!If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

It isn't very often I have a bath but I don't think I would get rid of it completely. It's handy for washing the dog if nothing else!1

Maybe his holiday entertainment could be sourcing the things he 'needs' at a better cost once you're there, and yours can be seeing how many things he didn't actually need once there!
Definitely don't get rid of the bath if that's going to detract from your small enjoyments in life. Just because Mr SA has needs, doesn't mean you don't too, and you're the one having to deal with everyone elses'. He was told not to shower unsupervised and made a different decision. Hopefully this fall has been a reminder to him to not do that!

It’s easy to think during the week when I’m at work and busy, when a shower suffices, that I could happily manage without one. However at the weekend it’s a totally different matter especially when I’ve been out all day and done a lot of steps. When we go on holiday one of the things I miss is a bath. Not getting rid of it for my own sanity. I get fed up of healthcare professionals suggesting we need to get rid of it with absolutely no regard whatsoever to the carer’s needs 😞 Mr SA has a bath bar he’s meant to sit on in the shower but often doesn’t. He could probably do with some sort of step to get in and out of the shower.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

You can get walk-in baths with showers but they're expensive. I looked into them when mum needed a new shower.2

Morning all 🙂
Just enjoying the peace and quiet before everyone gets up. Even the dog isn’t up yet.Today will be gardening day. I need to have a good tidy up, trim some shrubs and do some weeding. Also need to pot up a beautiful bright pink Senetti I bought yesterday. I want to cheer up the patio with lots of bright colours. Already got the new cushions. So that’s a project for me to focus on.Even though the shops are closed today it won’t be a NSD as I’m buying Mr SA a drill for his birthday so that will be ordered online once he’s made his mind up which one he wants. I’ve had to make him see reason that he only needs a casual use one as he’s steering towards the expensive professional ones he had when he was in the building trade. He’ll use this drill maybe half a dozen times a year.He also tried to make out he needs a new shaver when in reality it just needs a new head 😐
Still annoyed about having to go back to Asd@ tomorrow. The plus side is that I can pick up a couple of bright pots for the patio while we’re there and we’ll take the dog so she’ll get a trip out. There’s a lovely park with a lake and ducks, geese etc so we can stop off there on the way back.Going no further than the park across the road today. Really need to get this gardening done and maybe squeeze in a bit of a wardrobe/holiday clothes sort out.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
