I think the smallest bath you can get is 1200mm. It might be worth looking around, and trying to find a bathroom company/designer with a bit of imagination to see whether they can fit something in for you.2

We've just got back from the park and I can't believe how cold it's gone! The council workers were emptying the bins and saw me litter picking. They thanked me and gave me a load of black bin bags. The thing is there's never that much litter for a bag as big as that but will keep them for my own use should I need one at any stage.
I've had the estimates from the vet for the dog's surgery and the cost isn't as much as I was thinking. Scenario A is £1379.04 for the polyp removal and tests on it afterwards and Scenario B is £3122.05 which is the ear canal ablation.
I thought both options would be a lot more expensive especially scenario B, I was thinking £7k plus.
Still a lot of money though but the insurance should cover most of it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Glad to hear that Mr SA is ok. If not a little sore.
Never a dull moment in your house is there?
Fingers crossed they can sort the dog with the first option.2 -
So sorry to hear about Mr SA but good to hear he is ok.
Glad the cost of treatment for the dog is less than anticipated. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

SA, think this is what my dog had. For ages he had a small lump like a pimple just going into his ear. Then it started to grow. Vet advised surgery. My dog was 12, so was worried but had to go ahead as the lump was starting to look nasty. The day of the op the lump was that big it started to bleed as I think the skin had stretched so much. The vet said when they operated the roots of it went down into his ear canal. Op went fine and after a week of wearing a collar he was back to normal. Thankfully it wasn’t cancerous. Fingers crossed your little one will be fine.:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.006

That sounds exactly what my dog has @amber03. It started off as a tiny polyp and has started growing to the point where it's blocking her ear canal. It's obviously irritating her as she keeps scratching it and making it bleed.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Morning all.
I'm in the office today but only staying until 11 then will finish my day from home. It's fairly quiet as no doubt a lot have already started their Easter break. I keep thinking it's Friday but I suppose it sort of is with being off tomorrow.
I need to look into the insurance for the dog's op. Hopefully it will be covered, certainly worth a try. I'm looking at it as the first option is the cost of a hotel for a week's holiday and the second option is a bit more than the cost of the whole holiday, including spending money. I doubt we'll go away again this year so if need be the money I've saved for the second holiday will cover the op. I'd much rather have a healthy dog than a week's holiday - no contest.
I do get fed up of there always being something to worry about around the time we go on holiday though. Last year it was DD's health and then her going into hospital while we were there, followed by Mr SA ending up in hospital just days after we got home. I feel like we shouldn't go anywhere. The second holiday last year was fine but it was touch and go right up to the day we went.
I'm going to pop into Lid! on the way home. I mustn't be tempted to pick up too much of the cheap veg with us going away, although some of it will still be ok when we get back.
I'm starting to make plans for the 4 day break so tomorrow is clean the house day, Saturday I'm taking Mr SA shopping 😬, Sunday is sort out the holiday clothes and put away thick winter things day and Monday is gardening day, subject to the weather of course.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and a strength training class before I log back on for the afternoon session.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of the chickpea stew type concoction I made last night.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Oh dear SA it is always something in your house isn't it. Unfortunately given Mr SAs lack of mobility and size probably means stepping over a bath side to have a shower is unstabilising and a walk in shower is better. We had to remove our bath because we both wanted a large walk in shower a few years ago and it proved its worth after DHs open heart surgery a year or so later. Every so often I miss having a bath so now tend to use my DDs one as she has just moved into a new house just down the road with a nice bath. I too wish we had room for both. Hope the dogs ear is sorted soon.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Happy Good Friday.Had a very productive day and have just sat down after cleaning the whole house. Started just after 8am but have had a few mini breaks to take the dog out, have lunch and read my book.Next job is to have a shower and paint my nails before making dinner. I’m having roast root veg with a veggie burger as I’ve run out of veggie sausages.Have done a fair bit of washing and it dried really quickly despite it being a bit dull and not windy. My outdoor cushions arrived yesterday and I’m really pleased with them. Pity it’s not hot and sunny at the moment so I can put them on the patio chairs. Both the patio and patio set could do with jet washing first to be honest.Tomorrow it’s shopping with Mr SA wish me luck 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
