Oh no. Horrible on both counts.
Hope the ambulance comes much sooner than that.

And the good news is he’s managed to get himself up so the ambulance has been cancelled. He’s hurt his back where it hit the taps and is a bit shaken but otherwise ok.

I think we’re going to have to replace the bath with a walk in shower. There’s only me that has a bath and that’s only twice a week.

He hadn’t been with it all afternoon and he should never have bothered with a shower. I usually supervise him but he’d just got in without me knowing.

What a horrible afternoon.  Sorry to hear about the dog, and hope Mr SA is ok and you don't have to wait too long for the ambulance.

I too worry about when I am unable to drive as the nearest bus stop is quite a walk & frankly I hate the idea of being dependant even on taxis.  I keep wondering if I can use a "scooter" to do my shopping, how would I keep dry, will I be able to carry enough shopping.  Then I wonder why I get myself stressed.

Glad Mr SA was able to get up.
Is there another branch of the vets that could see poor doggo sooner?

They could do it sooner but with us going on holiday she’ll need to be kept an eye on with after surgery care for a couple of weeks. Plus go back for post op checks. Although DD will be looking after her we want to be there if anything goes wrong. The vet said it’s not urgent but needs doing sooner rather than later.

Well that's good they said it's not urgent.
Really hope that one day you might be able to go on holiday without something worrying hampering it! Wasn't it DD in hospital last time you attempted to relax?!

This time last year that was. We were ok with the subsequent holiday in July but it was touch and go beforehand. Obviously we shouldn’t really go on holiday. We always seem to have a vet appointment just before too. I’m not booking anything else this year. The vet thinks the op should be covered by insurance especially if it comes to ear canal removal as if a vet admits that’s expensive it will be ££££ 😱

Sorry about the dog and sorry Mr SA has had a couple of falls.
Did you mention something about getting a downstairs bathroom at one stage. It seems such a shame that you might need to get rid of your baths. I need to relax in the bath…I get twitchy when we’re away and I have to have showers…..can’t wait to get in the bath when I get home.

Yes that’s the plan for a downstairs loo but I don’t think there’s room for a shower. It would be converting the cupboard under the stairs.

I did originally ask for a separate shower cubicle and bath when we had the new bathroom but they said there wasn’t room. I’m only little and would be happy with a half bath, the bath we currently have is enormous and really deep.
