It's somebody's paid job, that's your answer right there!2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (36/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 5.9kg/30kg

Quite. You don't as they say pay a dog & bark yourself. As for suggesting that any person on their own in the half light goes out with the possibility of having to face teenagers who could well be larger than themselves!!! I suspect someone is feeling pretty stupid this morning & if they aren't they should be.4

Unfortunately, I suspect the person who made the suggestion just thought that since SA is opposite the park, it would be a case of just popping out and locking the gate. They and any supporters didn't take anything else into account, including SA having a life outside of the park group, doing a risk assessment or actually getting someone to do the job they are being paid for.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

The woman who made the suggestion is a lot younger than me and has no idea how much I have to fit into my day. Fortunately someone else stepped in to say the key was only for emergency purposes to lock up if the paid person didn’t turn up. Still a firm no from me as I’m not prepared to stand in for someone who’s being paid to do it. It’s like me not logging in for work but still expecting to be paid for it or expecting a random stranger to do it for me!!
The GKs have been and gone and DS brought Mr SA’s birthday present which he’s opened and is happy with - a tool box and tool type bits and bobs although after they left he said he would’ve preferred some more fish for the pond 😐After they left I cut the grass then sat in my hanging chair with my book and a glass of ice cold rose.Mr SA went for his shower and unfortunately had a fall 🙁 He managed to get up eventually with me coaxing him to roll over onto his knees and use the side of the bath to heave himself up. He’s a bit shaken and his knee is swollen but is otherwise ok.Today has been a NSD, probably the first ever on a Saturday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

I am angry on your behalf re the park gate. Please dont take offence but does the person who suggested this really think an older lady on her own should be out and putting herself at risk is really sensible. OK it is summer and not completely dark at the moment but later in the year it will be pitch black at that time. The comittee secretary (if there is such a thing) or the lady that suggested you if not should be writing to council to ask why someone who is paid by council tax payers is not doing their job.Glad to hear you had a lovely day out and sorry to hear of Mr SA's fall.2

Just to top off the day DD had a tower fan delivered about an hour ago. I commented about electricity usage and she said it was just for an hour 3 times a week while she’s exercising. Then she had the cheek to say she saves me money on the Mr M shop with her discount plus saves us kennel fees for the dog when we go on holiday so that will cover any extra costs. Reminded her I pay for the 2 cats that are meant to be hers, food and vet bills, plus her board hasn’t gone up for over 10 years. Also reminded her she lives here so looking after the pets for 2 weeks a year at the most isn’t exactly putting her out. She stormed off and slammed her bedroom door like a stroppy teenager 😡 I know I was still cheesed off about the park gate business and might not have kicked off about the fan otherwise but I just feel sometimes I’m being taken for a mug!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
