Thankfully we’re not going into the city centre but a small town about an hour’s walk away. It has an Asd@ so I can drop off the coffee pods for recycling.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
Enjoying the peace and quiet before Mr SA gets up. The dog was being a bed hog all night and is now being a sofa hog. I’m perched right on the end while she’s stretched out snoozing 😆
It’s raining at the moment but the forecast says it will stop around 9am which is when we should be setting out. So fingers crossed it stops or we won’t be able to go.Today’s exercise will be walking to/from/round the town. Will definitely be in excess of 20,000 steps. A coffee and lunch stop are planned though. I need to make a list of things I can only get from Mr S as there’s a big one there. Turmeric tea and sauce flour for instance. The dog will be on her own for a bit as DD is going to work. DD still isn’t speaking to me after I commented on the tower fan a week ago 😐Tonight is pizza and Prosecco night 🥳I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Just had a nice surprise. Logged into my YBS app to find £246 in interest has been added to the emergency fund 🙂 It seems a lot but the interest rate is good although I think it goes down now the year is up. I should really move that money into an ISA I suppose or over the financial year I could be hitting the £1k mark in interest from the various savings accounts and survey earnings. Don’t want to have start paying tax on it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Don't forget the recent change to ISAs which mean that you can take some out & replace it as long as it is in the same tax year, that used to count as new money but it no longer does. I did it last year & have already done the first bit this year. Why is it fixed term accounts always end just too late to be useful?4

Shopping trip done. Mr SA got his zip up top and also another pair of sandals for the holiday. We left the house at 9am and got back at 3pm although that included a stop off for coffee and then lunch in our local pub.The dog was overjoyed to see us as she’d been on her own. Mr SA took her to the park. The good news is I recycled 4 bags of coffee pods at Asd@ 🥳
Annoying news of the day is that I bought a pack of two T-shirt nighties from Asd@ and only noticed when I got home the security tag is still on which means I now have to go back to get it removed 😞 It didn’t set off the security alarm either. So annoyed about this.So the plan is to earmark tomorrow as a gardening day as the weather looks ok and Monday as go back to Asd@ to get the tag removed and then spend the rest of the day sorting the holiday clothes and wardrobes.Mr SA keeps thinking of things he “needs” for the holiday despite saying he didn’t need anything a few days ago. He does this every time we go away so we are always last minute shopping.Just had a lovely soak in the bath as the shopping trip earned me 23,500 steps. Made me realise I’d be sad to get rid of it and replace with a walk in shower ☹️ Need to definitely rethink this idea.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Good trip prep. Sorry you won't have a bath. I know I would miss having one too...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
