Pleased to hear that MR SA managed to get himself out of the bath. Sorry tto hear about your dog. Jacks are generally very healthy dogs.

I keep wondering if I can use a "scooter" to do my shopping, how would I keep dry, will I be able to carry enough shopping. Then I wonder why I get myself stressed.
You can get covers for scooters and you or whole canopies that cover you and the scooter. I just have a cover that goes over the electrical bits on the tiller. I have to shop 2 or 3 times a week if I use my scooter to do it all but then I generally do that anyway as I never seem to put everything on my list.4 -

What a dreadful afternoon, I'm so glad Mr SA got up by himself in time but horrendous for you both having to go through it. Can you perhaps investigate one of those baths where you can sit and close a door, or would that have problems of its own?
I think I've mentioned the camel lifting chair and similar (that's the only one I remember by name) but you didn't feel it would be safe for Mr SA, which is fair enough. However, might an OT be able to suggest anything from grab rails to electronic lifting that could be installed?
And poor doggie, though in this case the worry is yours as the dog won't be thinking along the same lines. I do hope it's all 'something and nothing', and it may well be, but you need to be certain.
And to go back to earlier posts, it sounds as though you have excellent examples set by your friends IRL and really no need for us all to wade in! And even without your friends' experiences, I don't think you are the sort of person who would make a rash move.
I hope you are having a much more peaceful evening now.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Our Jack was almost 17 when she died. She had mild kidney failure and a heart murmer but we are convinced that grief over losing our collie a couple of days earlier was the final straw.4

Anyway in money saving news Mr T are already doing the cheap veg. I picked up 2 x bags of potatoes for 15p and also broccoli for 15p.I didn’t get around to doing something with the chickpeas as I’d lost the plot what with the dog and then Mr SA. Ended up with a piece of lightly dusted fish from freezer stocks with sweet potato wedges and steamed veg.Holiday wise one year we went to Halkidiki and my mom died a couple of days after we got back. Then 2 years later we returned to Halkidiki and MIL died while we were there ☹️ We attempted a third visit to break the spell and everything was fine. And don’t ask about the times we left DS and DD as older teenagers only to come home to complaints from neighbours about parties.I could write a book about my various mishaps over the years. Not for me a normal humdrum life it seems. I must’ve been a mass murderer in a previous life and paying the consequences now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Morning all, happy Wednesday.
We fly a week on Monday @Sunshine_girl2.
WFH today thank goodness as I can keep an eye on Mr SA. He's feeling sore but otherwise ok.
The dog's op when we get back is just for the vet to have a better look at what's going on with the polyp. Obviously animals won't stay still for the thorough examination it needs. She said if it isn't too deep there's a possibility she'll be able to remove it there and then. If it is deep the op will need to be planned as it's a big job which will take both her and her husband and they'll need to block the whole day out with no more surgeries. They have done a few ear canal removal surgeries although it might be best done at a specialist vet. The first step is her having a look at it. The positive thing is the vet thinks it's worth doing the op. We've never claimed on insurance the whole time we've had the dog so will need to look at the policy, I know I opted to pay a higher excess to get the monthly premiums down, £150 I think.
I need to order the dog's anti inflammatory meds then ring the vet with the order number so they can send the prescription to Animed.
I did a live yoga session on my WW app first thing. I've been wanting to try this session but I'm usually at work. I enjoyed it and thinking I might start work later on Wednesdays so I can do this session at home first then walk to work, I don't really want to change my office days. Other exercise will be taking the dog on the park later and Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner will involve the chickpeas I didn't get around to using yesterday.
Quick mid week check of finances has been done and an oddment of £8.75 has been sent to the Christmas pot.
Finished reading my current book this morning so need to pick a new one from my bookshelf.
