Hi SA , just want to say I'm loving your diary , you truly are an inspiration. I agree with you regarding Mr M , they're targeting people who don't shop there regularly for the Easter saver but it's a bit unfair on us regulars , also it can be be expensive so the Easter/Christmas savers made up for this somewhat . Enjoy your weekend2

Morning everyone, happy Sunday.I could get used to this lovely sunny weather although it would be better without that cool wind keeping temperatures down. The plan for today is to go to the local park with a nursery as they’re selling off surplus stock at very reasonable prices. I managed to get a fair bit of gardening done yesterday although I’d like to try and cut back a rhododendron that’s got a bit out of control. I just need to take some of the height and width off it.DD is back at work today so I’d like to get the kitchen and bathroom cleaned before she gets back. Also need to do a meal plan and make that Lid! list for tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

That's Monday almost done. Only a 4 day week for me this week.
Worked in the office until lunchtime and am back home to finish up.
Mr SA met me at Lid! on the way home and definitely made the most of the 10% off on its final day. Now qualified not only for the free sweet bakery item but the veg item too. Pleased with my haul though as some of the items already had a coupon discount then got an extra 10% off. Tomorrow's Mr M delivery will be mainly wine, beer and pet food 😆
We went to the local park/nursery yesterday and I got a decent amount of plants for £13. I feel like I've cheated as I bought an aubergine and two tomato plants after my first lot of seed sowing failed to amount to anything. Entirely my fault as I kept forgetting to water them. Another lot have now been sown. Also bought some lobelias and petunias for the pots. Managed to cut back a fair bit off the width of the wayward rhododendron which should allow me to get close enough to it to take some off the height.
Mr SA was a real pain yesterday as he won't go for his afternoon nap when the weather is good so he was constantly interfering with what I was trying to do. I had to stop him planting things where I don't want them to go. He doesn't give me time to plan where I'm planting things and just starts planting them in random places. Hope this isn't a taster of how things are going to be when I retire 😒
Funnily enough the WW talk this morning was about people/things that "drain your bucket" he certainly does that! I was sat there at my desk with my headphones on nodding my head in agreement, couldn't have been more appropriate.
Monday finance check has been done and the CC balance was a bit fat zero so nothing to clear off until the weekend's spends have cleared. £50 from YG has arrived in my account.
Going to try and do a small garden job every day this week (apart from Friday). Tonight's will have to be a quick one as it's the park volunteer's group meeting at 7pm and I didn't go to the last one so feel I ought to show my face this time. At least it will be a pleasant stroll to the pub in the sunshine.
Last night I made an old favourite baked sweet potato with vegetable chilli. I made two portions, had one with the sweet potato last night and the chilli on its own for lunch today. Tonight I plan to make vegetarian paella if I get time.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and to/from the local pub later.

Chased up the non arrival of the Railcard voucher from Clubcard and they sorted it out for me over the phone. I feel officially old as I now have a digital senior railcard. It cost me £17.50 of Clubcard points and will save me £6.20 on Friday’s rail ticket so worth doing. I won’t get loads of value from it but will keep a tally on how much I’ve saved. Of course I could always go to Iceland tomorrow for 10% off day now I have proof of age 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
