Is there some sort of carer's group or maybe WI or something that has a guide/online forum about how people manage similar situations when retiring?
I hate to think of your reward for working so long being life getting less tolerable.
Enjoy the meeting and pub, absolutely go to Iceland with your discount, apparently they have good prices on their easter eggs if you were planning on getting any, worth a nosey! I need to pop in and see how much their gr*ggs vegan sausage rolls are in case its mse for occasional cravings3 -
Definitely use the discount! We keep track of our NT visits against the cost of membership, it's very satisfying once you get into a surplus and it's paid for itself."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2

I’ve just caught up…..85 pages 🥴😂
Enjoy the railcard- I love mine. It paid for itself in 1 hit when I went to see Dd. I often go out with a friend - we get on the first train an d see where we end up….we limit ourselves to about an hour. We’re very lucky and near a mainline station.
January spends - £587.583 -

I looked on the app and the vegan rolls are £3.50 for 4 or 3 packs for £10, assuming prices are the same in London. I bought Easter eggs yesterday so daren't look in case they're cheaper 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today. Someone had sneaked in an hour's meeting 12-1 which I've declined as I make lunch at 12 then eat it at my desk so it has digested in time for my 1.15 exercise class. I can't wait until 2pm for lunch or even have it early as I have a meeting 11.30-12! I think it's very thoughtless when people send lunchtime meeting requests. That's wound me right up already can you tell 🤣
Mr M delivery arrived just after 6am, it was mainly beer, wine and pet food.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, lunchtime retro robics class and resistance bands tonight.
Making a veggie lasagne for tonight's dinner - a large one so I can portion it up and freeze.
I didn't get the 30 minutes of gardening done yesterday as there just wasn't enough time with going to the park meeting so it's on the list for today. Mr SA watered the plants with the hosepipe because he couldn't be bothered to use the rainwater in the water butt 😐
I also want to give my little office a good clean when I've finished work.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Could you hide the hosepipe in future so Mr SA has to use the wateringcan and water butt or would he not bother doing the watering at all? - I think I know the answer, sigh.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Sun_Addict said:Chased up the non arrival of the Railcard voucher from Clubcard and they sorted it out for me over the phone. I feel officially old as I now have a digital senior railcard. It cost me £17.50 of Clubcard points and will save me £6.20 on Friday’s rail ticket so worth doing. I won’t get loads of value from it but will keep a tally on how much I’ve saved. Of course I could always go to Iceland tomorrow for 10% off day now I have proof of age 🤣
