Well done for declining the lunchtime meeting. It used to irritate me when I was working and would have online meetings after online meeting in the diary and then someone adding in another meeting in the only gap left for lunch. Mind you when I worked in a real life office and was eating lunch at my desk I found it odd that people would come in, see me munching a sandwich and say "oh are you having lunch?" Err no I usually sit with a sandwich in my mouth 😋4

As far as I know the one for Tuesday is for over 60s. But it has been a while, which is why I wondered.3

I also hate lunchtime meetings, some people always seem to choose them."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

That's the worst part of the working week done. Worked in the office this morning then came home before lunchtime as I had an early afternoon workshop.
Mid week finance check done, cc checked against spending tab on spreadsheet and tallied up. No money shuffling at this stage of the month. Just realised I get paid and the next 4 week budget period starts while I'm on holiday. I don't log onto banking on holiday unless absolutely necessary so it will be a late money shuffle this time.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and picked up a pack of free peppers. I was hoping to grab a family sized pack but they didn't have any so had to go for a pack of 3. Also nabbed 2 packs of veggie burgers from the reduced section.
Walking to work this morning listening to the Discover Weekly playlist Sp0tify make for you and for some bizarre reason most of the songs were in German! I usually get a fair few in Spanish but never had German ones before. One song was absolutely bonkers and super fast - it made me start walking even faster than I normally do and I had to resist the urge to wave my arms about in the air. I suppose it makes a change from trying to stop myself twerking while waiting to cross the road when a Zumba song comes on 🤣
So today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's Zumba at 6pm so can twerk to my heart's content 😆
Tonight's dinner is stir fry.
Mr SA tried to use the cc yesterday in the charity shop and forgot the pin number so blocked his card. The pin number has been exactly the same since we got the card years ago and despite the ordeal he had with the brain tumour and memory loss he managed to remember the card pin number when he came out of hospital whereas I forget it if we go on holiday and don't use it for a week. I hope this doesn't mean he's fluffed up my pin number too as I'm the primary card holder. I used it in Lid! today but contactless. I wish he'd keep out of that charity shop! Thank goodness we don't have any men's clothes shops round here is all I can say! Despite him saying he doesn't need any new clothes for the holiday he's now coming up with a list of things he thinks he needs. Just waiting for him to say he needs some shoes or another man bag. I've told him I'll get the suitcases and holiday clothes out over the Easter weekend then he'll see he doesn't need anything, well in theory 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Maybe with retirement in mind now is the time to impose a one in/one out rule? If he thinks he needs extra stuff for holiday and he's got something perfectly adequate, the equivalent item gets sold and added to your mutual retirement pot from which all his purchases are going to have to be made?
Or would he just ignore that all entirely 😁1 -
Is it time to squirrel away some of Mr SA's holiday stuff so you can come up with some 'surprise bargain buys' nearer the time? If he remembers an item, you can always go through the holiday stuff with him and not happen to find it in there, so isn't it lucky you spotted the one you just 'bought' him.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living.
